"Rudeness and neglect spotlight severe issues at assisted living facility"
In my opinion, every employee at this assisted living facility seriously needs to be reconsidered. The staff members sadly do not care about their work. You should know that if you're a nurse or a CNA, your job is to look after our loved ones. But it's heartbreaking to see my family member left in a diaper all day, stuck in bed. I've had many encounters with these nurses. They're honestly very rude and disrespectful. My family member is not their property. They're there because they're paid to provide care for them, and it's their job to be respectful towards both the patients and their families. I really believe that the state is neglecting these major issues. The nurses are incredibly impolite. I've been in the healthcare industry for a decade, and I've never been so disgusted by the way they treat other staff and visiting family members. To be honest, it's so bad that I can't even justify giving them a single star. It's even worse than that. If you're responsible for training a nurse or a CNA, it's critically important to do it right. Please, stop hiring people who simply don't care about their job.

"Headline: Horrendously Negligent Care Given at Aperion Facility"
**January 2019** This place deserves MINUS stars. The nursing and CNA staff provide shockingly bad care! You have to watch your family very closely here. They often just do the bare minimum, and sometimes not even that. They've left a patient stuck in a wheelchair for multiple periods of over 5 hours. I've seen a CNA shift the nurse call button out of a patient's reach, making it impossible for them to ask for help, while they are left stranded in a wheelchair. They didn't use a prescribed wound vacuum on a patient for two whole days, leaving the wound untreated. They give patients medication without telling them what it is. The list goes on. I'm reporting them to the state of Indiana and local health department. I have a family member living there and I have called numerous times. The nursing and CNA staff repeatedly say "that's not my job". I have been promised that the head nurse, I was told they would manage my requests for medical follow up, but nothing has happened. Yesterday, my family member repeatedly told staff that an off-site doctor had advised them to get a chest x-ray on site. Nobody wrote it down or assured them it will be addressed. If you work in a place like this, you should care about helping, not hurting people! ***Update*** Aperion Care sent my relative home with only just over a week's worth of insulin, only 2 BP pills, and no follow-up doctor's appointment. It's two weeks after they returned home, and no doctor has visited, and the medication has long since run out. The contact phone number is just for complaint voicemails. The treatment my family member received at Aperion Care was horrific. I wouldn't wish this place on anyone's loved ones.
