"Unsafe conditions and lack of staff at assisted living facility"
This place brags about offering fantastic care but it really doesn't. They simply don't have the people to help with basic stuff like moving and bathing. And they need to change where the elevator is. It's right in front of the stairs and that's not safe at all! My family member fell into the elevator because her wheelchair got stuck in the gap and nobody was there to help her get to the dinner hall. What if she had fallen out on the top floor? She could have tumbled down the stairs.

"Head Nurse Lies about Doctor's Approval, Disappoints Elderly Resident"
My mom had arranged to move into this place two weeks ago and had already checked out her future apartment. All she needed was a doctor's note to give it the green light. But then, the head nurse had a staff member tell us the doctor disapproved due to her health. This news really upset mom. At 81, she was suddenly without a home to settle in. We later discovered the nurse had lied, her doctor was okay with her moving in. This dishonest person should lose her job. How can someone harm an elderly person with such a lie? So, if you truly care for your parent, don't let them land in a place with such people. I'm appalled by their behavior. It could be a nice place if they showed her the door. Luckily, my mom found a much better facility where she is appreciated and properly taken care of.

"Attentive Staff, Some Room for Improvement in Facilities"
Overall, the workers were really nice and helpful. They helped my mom with lots of things at Bell Oaks, and I thought they took good care of her. Sometimes, though, I noticed the place could have been cleaner or fixed up better. But I know lots of places like this have trouble finding enough people to work.

"Plenty of Activities and Responsive Staff!"
It’s mostly positive. We do have some concerns, but staff are friendly and responsive. No issues with my loved one’s health. They’re doing their best despite being understaffed. Activities are resuming after Covid restrictions.

"Pleasant Home, But No Medicaid and Odd Smell"
The living areas are pretty good and there’s lots to do. But, they don’t take Medicaid and there was a weird smell inside because of some yard work happening outside.

"Poor Treatment and Deficient Service at Bell Oaks Place"
I don't often write reviews but I've got numerous issues with my mom's stay at Bell Oaks Place. A lot of the assistants seem lazy and don't promptly respond to my mom's call light. When they do, she says they're mean and grumpy. They complain she rings too much even though we've paid for the call light service without any restrictions on usage. It's crazy that some days, there's no nurse available, given how much we're spending. They have a QMA who appears to manage everything, which worries me. The place is not properly staffed. My mom shares that meals often arrive late by half to three-quarter of an hour and the food is usually cold. If she asks to warm it, they're unfriendly to her. Overall, the service and treatment are just bad. We're currently checking out other assisted living facilities.

"Nice Place, Preferring a Memory Care Facility"
This place was good and offered plenty. But, we chose a facility specialized in memory care as our top option.

"A Warm and Caring Home for Mom"
Bell Oaks Place has been amazing in helping my mom settle into assisted living. The staff is friendly and feels like an extended family! My mom, who is 90, thought it would take her a while to get used to her new home, but she’s already joining activities and making new friends. The place is beautiful and offers the safe environment and security she needs. From the administrators to the housekeeping staff, everyone seems to really care about each resident.
