"Avoid This Facility: High Rent, Broken Promises, and Lack of Help"
This place is full of dishonesty, raising rent too high and often. They neglect needed repairs and deceive about move-in dates; my relative was promised the move-in date was, but it wasn't prepared until August. Even then, they unfairly charged her for July. Upon moving in, the environment was not tidy. They accused her of not paying the community fee even though she absolutely did, I witnessed it myself. This is definitely not a place I would ever suggest to anyone. We are planning to relocate her due to their utter lack of assistance, whether about billing issues or maintenance.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
The place looked good and the people running it were nice, but we couldn’t get my mom to live there because she got sicker and needed more care. If you’re thinking about this spot for your family, make sure you read all the small details. They didn’t give back all the money we paid upfront or the rent for the first month since my mom never actually moved in. That’s why I’m not super excited to tell others to go here.

"Friendly Staff, Needs Better Family Updates"
The team here is pretty nice and they got to know my mom fast at Five Star Residences of Fort Wayne. Talking with us, the family, isn’t the best though. It’d be cool if we could have regular sit-downs or get updates about what’s going on. The meals are top-notch and there’s a lot to choose from. They should really work on making new folks and their families feel more welcome when they first get here. The start was super tough and had us all on edge.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
We chose this place because Mom really liked it when we visited, and it was affordable. But now, she's not happy with the meals. The dishwasher has been broken for a week or more, so they're using paper plates, plastic forks, and cups. Considering what we pay, this food and dishwasher situation is ridiculous. Sometimes I have to bring her food myself to keep her satisfied. Besides that, everything else is great! But those issues need fixing!

"Mixed feelings about assisted living facility experience"
This place has nice people living here, but the people in charge don't do a good job. I have a kitchen with everything I need, but they also provide meals. The food they serve isn't very healthy. They have activities like Bingo, church, movies, and karaoke for people who need assistance, but those of us who don't need help can't join in. Sometimes, it takes a long time for maintenance to fix things after we ask.

"Good location, nice rooms, advocate for loved ones."
We chose Five Star Residences because of the convenient location, move-in special, and recommendation. The rooms are a good size, similar to others we saw. She has a nice-sized closet and bathroom, but I wish the kitchen was bigger. The activities schedule looks busy for residents who want to join. I would recommend it to others, as long as you can advocate for your loved one.

"Lovely Assisted Living Tour"
I had a really nice visit to this place. Everything went smoothly. The workers were nice and friendly. The person showing me around gave me good information, and they answered my questions. From what I saw, the place looked well taken care of. It was a good time, and everyone was very nice to my family and me.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living with Garden Homes"
We got brochures and chatted with Cindy. She was super nice and helpful. When we visited with the in-laws, we all loved it, especially the garden homes. It felt like a great place for them. Lots of activities and a lovely dining room!
