"Mom loves her home and caring community"
From the first time I visited, they showed real compassion and care. During the first visit, they went out of their way to say we are a family, and every action since then has proven this. Most importantly, my mom loves her home and the community of people there.

"Subpar Care, Inadequate Communication: Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
My mother-in-law faces many problems: missed showers, messy rooms, broken closet doors, and lost glucometer. They charged us for glucose strips without telling us they lost her device until a month later. They didn't update her chart with the correct information we provided. They didn't have the automatic bank withdrawal form I filled out before her move-in, causing her stress. It's hard to reach staff, and they rarely return calls. Her room cleanliness rates a 2; we often have to clean her bathroom. Garbage isn't emptied enough, making the room smell. The rest of the facility seems clean, and most staff are friendly. However, they don't meet my mother-in-law's needs, though she's satisfied with meals. She doesn't participate in activities. We feel we're mainly paying for her room, medication, and meals, not great care.

"Assisted Living Facility Offers Friendly Staff and Clean Environment"
This facility stood out for its layout and staff's willingness to meet specific needs. The staff remains consistently friendly, not just aiming to recruit residents. They offer numerous activities and send families activity lists via email. The facility maintains high cleanliness standards with twice daily trash removal and weekly room cleaning. Overall, I recommend this facility over others I considered.

"Homier Feel, Friendly Staff, but Coordination Issues"
We picked Five Star Residences because it felt more like home. She knew some people there, and it fit our budget. One problem has been the coordination between IU Health, Five Star, and the medication provider. There has been a lot of back and forth to keep her medical care on track. Many things were missed, but it's getting better. The staff is always willing to help and is really fast. I would definitely recommend them to others.

My dad got very good and personal care. Rosewalk was very clean and well-run. From the day we moved him in until he passed away, the staff treated him with the greatest respect. I highly recommend Rosewalk for your loved one.
