"Great Care and Surprisingly Good Food at Magnolia Springs!"
When we moved our Mom to Magnolia Springs, we weren’t sure how well she’d be taken care of. But after just one week, we realized she was getting great care. Most of the staff (about 85%) are really kind and caring. Of course, there are always a few staff members you might not connect with, but that doesn’t reflect on Magnolia Springs as a whole. And guess what? The food is surprisingly good—sometimes even great!

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Community"
We enjoy the community’s atmosphere, and the apartment rooms are cozy. The food, as we’ve heard, is well-organized and good. However, the activities need improvement—there’s nothing after 3 pm, and during the day, they’re hit or miss. While the community isn’t perfect, it could be cleaner; after all, it’s not home.

"Unlicensed Magnolia Springs Falls Short in Medical Care"
Magnolia Springs Assisted Living Lacks State License, Medical Care" Magnolia Springs is NOT certified. They don't abide by state rules and don't keep track of when and which medicines are given to their residents. If your loved one requires any medical help, don't place them in Magnolia Springs. What they claim about personal care and knowing each resident well is not what we observed. We were informed that they don't physically administer medication, they just remind residents to take it. These reminders should occur within an hour of when the medication is scheduled. But in our dad's case, his meds were indicated way more than an hour before or after they were supposed to be taken. They don't offer any kind of medical help and seem clueless about dealing with residents with mental health issues. Our dad went for 48 hours without sleep and nobody at Magnolia Springs had a clue. Only two caregivers work during the night. The maintenance staff refused to show up one night when the toilet was clogged.

""Unlicensed Assisted Living Facility Lacks Adequate Staff and Maintenance""
Despite its good looks, this assisted living facility lacks a license, meaning it doesn't have any nursing staff or a Director of Nursing. Being unlicensed also means that the Indiana state does not monitor their operations regularly. There are several maintenance problems, particularly with the heating and air conditioning. In warm weather, the air conditioning failed to work for two weeks. If toilets get blocked during the night, no one will fix them until the next morning. In the evenings and on weekends, the staff for assisted living is alarmingly low - only 2 or 3 caregivers for 80 residents. Often, reminders for taking medication were given an hour or two late. Multiple times, I was told that there were not enough people for showers and trash collection that day. This facility feels more like an independent living establishment. It offers assisted living because it serves three meals a day and organizes activities for residents. But if your loved one needs genuine help, this isn't the right place.

"Review of Sunny Meadows Assisted Living"
The facility and staff were very good. The care in memory care was excellent. The food was good. My relative lived there for 2 years until he needed more skilled care. I would recommend this place to family, friends, or anyone looking for this type of care.

"Don't Trust This Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't have enough workers. They come and go a lot. The workers don't know what they're doing. My loved one seemed okay when they were having a good day. But on their bad days, they didn't even get their food or medication. I really didn't feel they were safe in this place.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Good but Needs Improvements"
My grandma lived here for just over a year. Overall, it's nice and offers good care, but it could be better. It's great for people who are somewhat independent but might need a bit of help. However, it's not suitable for those with serious medical problems, even if they can still get around and take care of themselves. I think the staff are friendly, but they don't always know what to do in emergencies. They also could communicate better with families about urgent needs. We had issues with paying for extra services that weren't provided. PROS: Nice facility, lots to do, good food, fun holiday events, friendly staff, good location. CONS: Staff need better training for emergencies, communication with families could improve, paid services not always completed.

We visited this community and it was good. It was clean and nice, and the people there were really helpful and understanding. But we didn't feel like it was the right place for us.

"A Fantastic Place for Mom"
My mom is doing great here. She has gotten a lot better, and I'm happy with everything they've done for us. She loves it here, and everything has worked out well for her. I know she's getting wonderful care. This is a great place, and I would recommend it.
