"A Caring Community Where We're Like Family"
It's everything I need. If it weren't, I'd leave. With my four children nearby, they wouldn't let me stay here if I wasn't happy. This place feels like home. We're like a family with the staff and fellow residents. We chat and help each other as much as we can. The Pendleton community also shows they care. Recently, an eighth-grade class visited us, bringing beautiful throws they made. They stayed an hour, interacting with us. And for Halloween, the kids will knock on our doors for treats. Our activities director is fantastic, and we spend time together every day.

"Excellent care and staff made a tough decision worthwhile"
My mom stayed at Rawlins House, and it was wonderful. The staff were amazing. As her condition got worse, they went above and beyond to make sure she was well taken care of. When things got tougher for her, they always found ways to help her. Choosing this place was a decision I’m glad I made. Thank you to everyone on the staff!

"Unsatisfactory Staffing, Delayed Meals, Potential Bed Bug Problem."
When I visit my relative who was recently moved to the south wing of the facility, it’s the same situation every day. The same staff members are always rushing up and down the hallways, with many of the nurses just lounging around at their stations. It often seems like there’s only two aides in charge of around 40 people. Supposedly, dinner is scheduled for 5:30, but we were left waiting for 45 minutes before food was served. Even then, not everyone received their drinks. This isn’t a one-off issue, it’s a daily struggle. In fact, it’s often the dietary employees who wait for the nurse aides to step in and help out. From my conversations with relatives of other residents, I’ve learned that some have even voluntarily started helping out with drink distribution out of pity for the poor conditions. While the facility's location in Pendleton is convenient for our family, we're now considering other alternatives. Of particular concern were some rumblings I overheard about a potential bed bug infestation. If true, it's outrageous that families are being kept in the dark about this. I have serious doubts about my relative getting the care they deserve in such an environment, and sadly, I am not convinced the building's management actually cares.
