Keep searching. My mom had a hip injury and was supposed to finish her recovery at The Villages at Historic Silvercrest. The pictures and descriptions online made it seem like a good option. We were told: "Upon your arrival, you will meet with all the department leads to ensure everyone understands your mom's care plans." What we actually got: We got there on a Friday afternoon. "Mixed Experience with Staff Communication at Assisted Living Facility"

The community is nice, but staff availability was inconsistent. When I reached them, they lacked full care details due to rotating shifts. Overall, they cared well for my loved one here.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

I visited the place, the staff was friendly and answered all my questions. The rooms were big, but I felt the community was too large. It's four stories tall, which I didn't think would suit my mom well.

"I toured this community"

The tour was nice, and the staff answered all my questions. The rooms were big, but the community felt too large for my mom.

"A great place for me"

I liked this place when I visited. The people were nice and helpful. The food looked good. They have both independent and assisted living. I think this will be the place I choose when I'm ready to move.
