"Friendliness Shines, But Kitchen and Staffing Need Attention"
The people living here are super friendly. The kitchen should follow recipes, though. And, uh-oh, no admin staff on weekends!

"Assisted Living Community Fosters Relaxing Atmosphere and Friendly Bonds"
The assisted living community is relaxed and calm. The administrator understands residents' needs and is approachable. Residents are friendly, with space for personal time. Morning coffee and conversations with residents are enjoyable, fostering a sense of camaraderie.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short of Expectations"
This place didn't meet our expectations. They promised a lot, but didn't deliver. We've had surprises with the care that they didn't tell us about beforehand. Plus, the Wi-Fi only works near the front, not in the rooms. The food is getting better. They serve three meals a day, but only give choices for breakfast. Lunch and dinner have just one option. There aren't many activities for residents to do here.

"Unprofessional Staff and Bad Tour Echo my Buddy's Concerns"
My buddy had a relative staying here and they gave them too many meds. So they had to move them. They don't really show you the place for people with memory problems, trying to avoid taking folks back there. The workers didn't seem like they knew what they were doing and were not acting professional. The tour was pretty bad.

"Unexpected Medicine Change in Assisted Living Caused Concern"
When we first arrived, they set up a meeting to evaluate what kind of help our family member needed for his assisted living stay. They figured he required the lowest level of support. But one day, he suddenly had a tough day behavior-wise. They switched his medicine without telling us or calling any other family members. We were upset to discover he hadn't been receiving the right medication. This was highly frustrating and worrisome.

"Mom enjoys activities, staff helps her feel valued"
I think this place is pretty laid-back for my mom. She joins in the weekly social activities when they have them. She mostly likes the staff. They help her a lot at this stage of her life. They make her feel like a "real person," and I really appreciate that as her daughter. I hope things keep going well for my mom and our family.

"Executive Director Ignores Black Mold in Dining Room Walls"
As someone who lives here, I'm really worried about the black mold growing inside the dining room walls. The Executive Director didn't bother to fix the walls because she didn't want to shell out the cash. She does get a bonus if she remains under budget every month, which seems unfair to me. This is a huge concern for the health of all who live here, especially as this place is supposed to be a healthcare facility! I strongly suggest not moving your dear ones into this place!

"Aging with Care: The Wellington Assisted Living Facility Review"
The Wellington, an older assisted living facility, offers a mix of history and practicality. While it lacks one-bedroom apartments, its friendly atmosphere and Medicaid acceptance make it a solid choice.

""Terrible Service and Lies at The Wellington""
Dealing with the staff at The Wellington at Southport has been awful and not at all professional. Three times I tried to call the director with no success, and the same happened with the admissions office. I warned the receptionist that I'd be reaching out to the head office if they kept ignoring my calls. It was only after that threat that I got a call back from the director after 15 minutes, but their excuse was plain false. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It's a huge relief that our mom won't be living there.

"Wonderful community tour!"
This place is really nice, and the people who work here did a great job showing us around. They took their time and answered all our questions. There are lots of cool things here for the people who live here, and it's really bright and clean.

""Promising Assisted Living Facility Disappoints Without Kind Director""
I've been searching for a place for my mom to live since last fall. I spent about a year talking to the sales director at the facility. We took mom to visit the place a few times and even got to try the food, which was amazing. Mom wasn't quite ready to move, but the director was very understanding and always kept us in mind. She was really kind and brought over a meal for my mom once. Lately, mom's had a few small problems and feels ready to move. But when I called the facility to see if there were any openings, I found out the director is gone and the couple of other folks I talked to were downright rude to me. We're thinking about going with our backup choice now.

"Unimpressed with Supposedly Renovated Assisted Living Facility"
I didn't really like the assisted living place we visited. They said it was revamped a few months back, but it seemed like they just slapped a new coat of paint on it. The unit they showed us had a really strong pee smell. I'm not considering this place at all.

"Assisted living facility: Clean, friendly staff, expensive, communication issues."
So, this place seems alright. It's clean and the people who work here are nice enough. We haven't had any problems with the food or things to do. But it costs a lot of money to stay here. And sometimes it's hard to talk to the people who work in the office.

"Amazing Care and Support"
My mom lived here for a little over a year before she passed away. This place has really improved over time. The renovations are beautiful, and the staff treats the residents like family. My mom often said, the girls who take care of me are my family. That means so much to us. We're very thankful to Country Charm Village for the care and friendships my mom had in her last days. Every worker here helps take care of the residents. One time, my mom was worried about a billing issue, and Heather from the billing office kept reassuring her that everything would be okay. Heather stayed in touch with us and kept my mom involved, which made her feel calm and proud. You don't see this kind of care often, and we're forever grateful to Heather. This place is absolutely wonderful.

"Mom is safe and well-cared-for"
My mom is in the assisted living part, so she doesn’t need a lot of care, but the medication and meals she gets are wonderful. She’s in a safe place. The activities are good, though it’s hard to plan for everyone’s different needs. Having a nurse on staff 24 hours would be good. The food is wonderful. It’s great that my mom has dementia, so this facility will be good for her without needing to move her again.

"Walk-Through Reveals Unwelcoming Atmosphere and Unpleasant Smell"
I visited this assisted living facility with a nurse's guidance. I noticed that they appeared to be updating the place. I also realized that many of the workers seemed new. Honestly, the place didn't seem very welcoming. Plus, there was a weird odor.

"Emeritus: A caring, clean assisted living facility. Highly recommended."
Emeritus is a really good place. It's clean and nice. The people who work there are friendly and kind. My dad has been living there for almost two months now, and he seems to be getting used to it. I think this place would be good for anyone who needs help taking care of an older family member.

"Facility Lacked Variety Despite Nice Appearance"
The place was nice, but it didn't feel right for us. I expected more activity at 9 am, but it was too quiet. The facility seemed limited to a hallway and one activity/eating area, and I'd prefer more variety.
