"Solana review summary: Unmet promises, lacking activities, and cleanliness issues."
During our tours, we were promised one thing but got something different at Solana. The dining room isn’t available to my mom 24/7, and the nurses aren’t showering her as they said. The activities lack meaning, and I haven’t received any activity calendar from the director, despite being told I would get one every week via email. Weekends are very dirty.

"Disappointing Services and Unkept Promises at Assisted Living Facility"
Simply put, we were greatly disappointed. None of our expectations were met. The dining hall often runs out of food and the kitchen, including the staff, is unclean. The state of the building is cringe-worthy. In the span of a year alone, we've seen five leaders come and go. Activities that once brought joy have rapidly declined. We used to enjoy things like thrice weekly happy hours, painting sessions, spa days, baking activities, and personal visits with treats by the tall lady with curly hair. But it's all stopped, even the regular newsletters and updates. We also used to receive weekly activity calendars via email.

"Unhappy Customer Reveals Problems at Aging Solana Assisted Living"
This Solana facility is old and lacks competitiveness. We pulled Mom and Dad out due to a few complaints. Things are not clean enough, the wellness director is crabby, and their new leader, just one out of many who've shown up recently, lacks professionalism. One resident overheard her plotting to fire the activities assistant without even speaking to her first. I'll warn her when I see her next. This same resident claims the executive director badmouths the staff like it's high school gossip. The food can't be counted on and it's pricey. I want someone from the top to reach out to me. I'm going to be giving my 30 day notice soon. Thanks!

"Poor Management at Traditions at Solana"
Our parents lived at Traditions at Solana. The management changed a lot, which was frustrating. The director of nursing didn’t talk to us, reply to emails, or answer calls. The hallways smelled bad, showing there were cleaning issues. Even though we paid for extra services like laundry and personal hygiene help, our loved ones didn’t get what they should have. We couldn’t stand it anymore and moved our parents to a better place. Some staff members were great, but the top management and the director of nursing matter a lot. We’d give Traditions at Solana a ‘D’ in 2023.

"Disappointed with Aging Facility and Decline in Services"
This place looks old and not as nice as other ones. They made everything more expensive, which isn’t fair. They took away the good boss and now things aren’t as good. The people who serve food don’t keep things clean, so I don’t want my mom eating there anymore. The food isn’t very good either. The person who was in charge before lied to us a lot. The building is really dirty and smells bad. But there is one nurse who is really good and helps my mom a lot. She is better than anyone else here. The activities they have are good too, and the person who plans them really cares. I’m thinking about going somewhere else. I wouldn’t want to work here. Goodbye, [name removed], I hope things get better for you.

"Disappointed Families Seek Better Care Amid Broken Promises"
We were told our loved ones would get new carpet today, but it's been lies. We pay too much for this. Always promised 'next week'. Looking for new place. We'll miss helpful and activities, but corrupt management isn't worth it. hasn't emailed back in 5 weeks.

"“Dissatisfied with Communication and Staffing at Assisted Living Facility”"
Another family in our community talked to me and said I could share my concerns here because my emails and calls aren’t getting any response. They had the same problem and a nurse told them to write a review. Bring back [name removed] and [name removed]! Those two ladies knew how to run a top-notch 5-star place. But now, the Wellness Director and executive director don’t reply to my messages. The dining room barely deserves 1 star. The only bright spots are [name removed] and [name removed]—they’re the only ones who know what they’re doing. They help us with all our questions. I’ll give a 5-star rating for staffing because of them. The activity director sends out an activity calendar every Friday by email, and that’s the only communication we get throughout the whole building. But is that enough? Just an activity calendar? No COVID updates? [name removed] used to email us every week, but now—nothing. Even after we asked. Very disappointed.
