"Horrific Experience at Wellbrook - Don't Use This Facility!"
Our family had a really bad time at this place. Wellbrook of Carmel doesn't have enough staff and it's super concerning. We had a family member go there for a short stay to get better after they broke their ankle. Other than the broken ankle, they were healthy and happy when they first got there. But in less than two weeks, they're now in the hospital with a severe condition caused by not having enough water. Now we're looking at end-of-life care. I definitely wouldn't tell anyone to use this place.

""Subpar care, neglect, and poor conditions in Memory Care unit""
The treatment he got during his rehab stint was mediocre. Waiting for help took a long time, however, they did manage to aid him from the bed to the restroom when they had to. The Memory Care department was a nightmare once they moved him there. A COVID outbreak hit and we couldn't see him for a fortnight. In that time, they neglected him and his motion exercises - he was stuck sitting in his wheelchair all day. His previously achieved rehab progress vanished, and his condition declined dramatically. When I visited, many times he was sopping wet, even soaking through his sheets. They put two adult diapers on him, assuming this meant changing him less. I pressed the staff in multiple meetings, but nothing improved. It eventually got so dire, I had to persuade them to move him to skilled nursing care. I also roped in Hospice Care. He didn't last more than a week after that. I wouldn't suggest their Memory Care service for anyone you hold dear.

"Poor Care and Service at Wellbrooke of Carmel"
Our time dealing with my mom's care at Wellbrooke of Carmel was really bad, to say the least. Staff come and go way too often, and it feels like most of them don't really care about providing good care. The food service is pretty rough too -- meals often come late, and it seems like we always have to ask someone to come pick up the meal trays. There's also a lot of mix-up among the staff about what medicines to give, plus they're not always reliable about giving baths or changing sheets. It's been a real mess. You're better off placing your loved one somewhere else.

"Pleasant Tour, Not Our Style"
I had a nice tour of this community, and everything went well. The place was clean, but it had a more modern style. My mom prefers a traditional style. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering my questions. Overall, it was a good experience, but not the right fit for my mother’s taste.

"Great Tour, But Lacked a Welcoming Feeling"
The Wellbrooke team gave us an excellent tour, showing us around the place with friendliness and lots of info. There were many good things about the place, especially how the apartments are all ready to be lived in. But, my Uncle thought it felt a little too impersonal and he didn't really feel at home.

"Caring Community with Attentive Staff"
My mom is still getting used to living here, but I feel good about her being part of this friendly community. The staff takes good care of her and her needs. So far, everything is going well for her.
