"Appalling Tour Experience at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living Facility"
My tour of Cedar Ridge in Fort Wayne was absolutely terrible. Among all the places I visited, this was the worst by far. During our visit, the guide began teasing and acting mean towards a resident with dementia in front of us. I stopped the tour right there, shocked by the disrespect. The guide seemed to not care at all throughout whole tour. Afterwards, Cedar Ridge started bombarding me with calls and texts to schedule another tour, pretending they didn't remember I had already been there. Plus, their messages got weirder and creepier because I wasn't answering. I would never let my loved ones stay in a place like this.

"Mixed Feelings on Cedar Ridge’s Care and Location"
Cedar Ridge in Fort Wayne offers pleasant rooms, and the section for folks with dementia feels safe. However, I’m not a fan of it being upstairs. Plus, I’ve picked up on some worrying stuff about the care they give.

"Fun activities and good communication!"
They have different activities during the week like popcorn days, ceramics, and music. They also send out a monthly newsletter and weekly updates. We would recommend this community to others.

"Mixed Feelings About Cedar Ridge Assisted Living"
Our visit to Cedar Ridge was okay. There weren’t many people living there, and the building was really big with lots of floors. We thought Mom might get lost.

"Unhelpful Staff and Unhappy Residents at Assisted Living Facility"
I tried to deliver a fruit basket to someone living here, but the staff didn't bother helping me find the room. I wandered around for half an hour and finally, when I managed to catch an employee, they were rude because I disrupted their phone call. Furthermore, I spoke with four residents to gauge their opinion of the place, but none had anything positive to say about it. One resident even mentioned this place wasn't even comparable to home. It's sad to think about ending your days in such a disheartening place.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
My mom enjoys the food, and the housekeeping keeps her apartment wonderfully clean. However, some nursing staff members seem grumpy.

"Woodview Impresses, But Family Wins"
The staff really captured the spirit of Woodview and its staff. Fun activities and residents were engaged. The room had awesome closets, but we picked another place due to family proximity.

"Inadequate Care and Unprofessional Behavior Noticed"
Our experience here was really bad. The care that our family member got was below even the lowest standard that anyone would expect or accept. The professional workers didn't follow the Doctor's instructions, and some of them didn't even do basic things, like giving showers at least twice a week. They were argumentative, rude, and didn't act professionally when we asked them about basic care. Even though not all the staff acted like this, it was enough for us to realize that we made a mistake in letting them look after our family member.

"Limited Social Interaction Due to Residents' Conditions"
At this place, most people had severe memory problems. So my husband couldn't really talk to anyone there except the staff.

"On The Newer Side"
This community was really nice. It’s newer, so everything was clean and looked great. However, the location wasn’t what I wanted. Situated between two big buildings, it felt more like a city. I was hoping for a calmer, more peaceful setting. The staff we met were very friendly.

"I toured the Woodview!"
The Woodview seemed nice to me, but my mom didn’t feel the same. The lady who gave us the tour didn’t give off a good vibe. It just wasn’t right for her.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Community at Memory Care Facility"
The staff here is helping my mom settle in. She’s in the memory care unit, and they offer activities. Mom usually enjoys the food, but she wants more variety. They keep the community pretty clean. I wish they had a space for higher-functioning residents in memory care.

"Nice place."
Staff is wonderful—helpful and friendly. The facility is nice with plenty of activities. Dad really enjoys his apartment, the food, and the staff. It’d be great if he participated in more activities, but he’s not very social. I also wish they had a newcomers packet for residents and families, covering check-in/out procedures, resident pick-up/drop-off for appointments or off-site visits, after-hours access codes, and linen change and housekeeping schedules.

"Adjusting to Assisted Living"
Things are going okay so far. The meal schedule is a bit tough for my loved one to adjust to. Dinner starting at 4:30 seems a little early. It took nearly a week for the community to set up services after they moved in, including therapy. I appreciate the extensive memory care services they offer.

"Plagued by Inattention and Lazy Staff"
If this is considered top-notch in Fort Wayne, I truly feel for the folks relying on these places. I've observed residents not being fed, served cold food, and staff neglecting the needs of the people here. More often than not, you see them messing around with their phones instead of providing the necessary care. All this is happening in the healthcare department of the facility. The first shift was doing alright until the management decided to replace the efficient staff with ones who don't even seem keen on working in this department. The second shift barely does their job. Quite disappointingly, it's a disorganized mess!
