"Great care and comfort with room for food and activity improvements"

When I got the website link to do an interview for The Emporia Place, I asked my mother a few questions and rated her answers from 1 to 10: CARE: 9-10 COMFORT: 9-10 CLEANLINESS: 9-10 FRIENDLINESS: 9-10 FAMILY WELCOMING: 9-10 FOOD: 5-6. She’d like more variety and fresher items. She grew up on a farm and misses fresh foods like corn on the cob, tomatoes, cucumber and onion salad with cream and vinegar dressing, watermelon, peaches, pears, and plums. She even said, “Oh, now I’m getting hungry!” She likes to see lots of color on her plate. ACTIVITIES: 8-9. For Bingo prizes, she suggests things people can use, like small boxes of Kleenex, neck scarves, small candy bags, toilet paper, candy bars, small bottles of detergent, lotion, all-purpose wipes, and toothpaste. Overall, she loves it at The Emporia Place. Just a few tweaks could make it even better.

"Great care and savings at Emporia Place!"

When the rehab facility in Kansas City said my mother couldn’t go home, had mild dementia, and needed 24/7 care, I was shocked. Her past experiences were not good, so I was really worried. I wanted to move her closer to me so she wouldn’t feel abandoned. After checking other places, I found Emporia Place. It’s clean, small, attractive, and the staff goes above and beyond in their care. Plus, it costs about $2000 less per month than other local places. She has a nice home there, is well taken care of, and many of my worries are gone. They’re right across from a top hospital, a block from great home care therapists, and a block from a caring pharmacy. If you need a good place for a loved one, visit Emporia Place!

"A Caring Home for Your Loved One"

I was really shocked when the rehab facility in Kansas City told me my mom couldn't go back home, had mild dementia, and needed 24/7 care. My grandma had bad experiences with this kind of care, so I was scared. I wanted to bring my mom closer so she wouldn't feel abandoned. After checking other places, I found Emporia Place to be perfect: clean, small, attractive, and the staff is super caring and goes the extra mile! Plus, it's about $2000 a month cheaper than other local assisted living facilities. My mom has a nice home where she's well cared for, and many of my worries are gone. They're right across from a top local hospital, a block away from great home care therapists, and a caring pharmacy! If you need a caring home for a loved one, please visit them!

"Fantastic Care at a Top-Notch Facility"

The staff at Emporia Place really go the extra mile to make sure my mom gets the best care. The director is fantastic and does a lot to make Emporia Place a wonderful place. The nurse is super helpful, acting as a go-between for doctors and the facility, and she is always thorough and caring. The kitchen staff works hard to offer a variety of meals for everyone. All the other staff members are friendly and ready to help. Mom especially enjoys having her hair done right there. Overall, Emporia Place is a top-notch assisted living facility.
