"Caring Staff and Clean Environment at Homestead of Augusta"
I work in healthcare, and I visit Homestead of Augusta 2 or 3 times a month. It’s always clean, and the staff pays close attention to the residents. They genuinely care about the people here, not just treating it as a job like some other places. The administration also communicates well with our agency for the residents’ benefit.

"Communication Issues and Broken Equipment in Assisted Living"
We chose Homestead during the pandemic because the COVID numbers there were lower than in our home county. They communicated well with us during that time. However, I wish they had told me that her walker was broken. They just kept saying she was falling. When I cleaned out her room after she passed, I saw the walker was broken. Also, their phone system isn't good. The phone is across the room from where residents sit in their recliners. They need to change where the phone jacks are so we could have communicated better with her.

"Memory Care Falls Short on Quality Care"
Assisted Living might be okay, but Memory Care wasn’t. My wife stayed in Memory Care. They didn’t follow the rules. No housekeeping there—I had to clean and vacuum myself. They’d just put new sheets over wet pads. I even had to change her diapers and clothes. I wasn’t happy with the care.

"Took a tour of this friendly, clean facility."
I visited this facility and found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The place was clean, and residents can either share an apartment with individual rooms or opt for a private studio apartment. Limited activities and meal services are available at specific times during the day. Residents can also request snacks and sandwiches outside of meal hours. The facility has a nice terrace for residents to enjoy, and the caring staff make it feel like a small, cozy place.
