This place is great if you need any type of care, from living on your own to needing lots of help. KMH should be high on your list for your loved one.

"Avoid KMH Assisted Living: Poor Management, Neglectful Nursing, Empty Promises"
The folks working directly with residents at KMH are usually nice and caring. They try hard to make sure everyone feels good and happy. I had good experiences chatting with them. But, the bosses don't seem to care about the people living there. They've got lots of trouble with the state because they don't keep good records of the care they give. If you ask them about something, like why they changed a bandage, they don't have any notes to show why. They blame the person living there if they remember things differently. When I wasn't around, my mom couldn't move suddenly, but nobody who works with the nurses noticed she needed help for a few days. When I finally asked for help, it took two more days before she got a bath. They say they have fun things for people to do, but they can't keep someone in charge of planning activities. And most of the time, the fun stuff they say they'll do doesn't actually happen. I wouldn't tell anyone to go to KMH. They don't do things the right way, and the bosses don't seem to care about the people who live there.

"Caring Place for Loved Ones with Room to Grow"
It's a decent place overall. It's not perfect, but it's okay. I would suggest it. They really take care of my loved one, and if there's anything I bring up, they handle it. The only thing I'd adjust is the cost. I wish they had more activities, but I get they've had to cut back because of Covid.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Care and Safety"
My parents stayed here, but after my dad passed away, my mom was told she had to leave. They couldn't meet her needs. She has dementia, and I was surprised that despite having different care levels, we were asked to leave. The assisted living facility isn't terrible, but they're seriously understaffed. The renovated areas look nice, but safety and skilled care are lacking. Why not have bed monitors or fall bracelets like in the assisted living section? The small disc they provide for the beds isn't sufficient. And for those dealing with anxiety due to dementia, it's challenging.

It's a nice place with many positives. Consider an orientation. The staff is extremely friendly. Mom is satisfied with cleanliness and nursing care. Food options are varied, available all day. They have an onsite beauty shop with billing convenience. Flexible rules allow self-medication. Mom chose it for the cozy rooms, feeling at home.
