"Highly Recommended Assisted Living with Personalized Care"
They provide excellent one-on-one care compared to other facilities, and their 24-hour nursing staff is always available. I've already recommended this community to others.

"Horrific Care at Assisted Living Facility with Terrible Management"
The employees at this assisted living facility are extremely mean. They are disrespectful to a point where some would even take inappropriate pictures of the residents and share them, which is totally uncool. They absolutely do not bother about the welfare of the loved ones you trust in their care. They neglect simple tasks like helping residents to bathe and maintain personal hygiene. Worse, there's no effort to clean up residents after accidents occur. They allow the residents to continuously reject their help, instead of doing their best to persuade them. It's super frustrating that they can't even inform family members when incidents occur between residents, or if someone takes a tumble. Not only that, but there's also a total absence of fun activities that could engage the residents and lift their spirits. The employees working both day and evening shifts barely do any cleaning. If they do, it's only because it would be to their advantage and not because they care about a clean and pleasant environment for those living there. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to be at such a dreadful place. The most disappointing part is that the management is terrible. The executive director, [Name removed], plays favorites. She avoids conversation with relatives who are genuinely worried about their family members.

"Mixed Feelings about Cozy Facility with Limited Activities"
I liked the smaller facility. There weren't many activities though. Residents were mostly sitting quietly in the living room, some asleep. The place was clean and didn't smell bad. The staff were really nice. I saw two rooms, but they felt more like a hospital than cozy, which was a bit sad. There's a lovely patio area though. I didn't visit the Ottawa facility. [Removed] needs to stay active, so I won't recommend this place to my family.

"Small and Clean, But Lacking Activities"
I liked that the facility is smaller. There were no activities happening. The residents were sitting asleep in the living room. It was clean and had no bad smells. The staff was very friendly. I saw two rooms. They felt more like a hospital than a cozy place, which was a bit depressing. The patio area was lovely. I didn't go to the Ottawa facility. Needs to stay active, so I will not recommend this facility to my family.

"Caring Staff and Balanced Meals at Comfort Care Homes"
Comfort Care Homes in Ottawa, Kansas is great. The staff knows my mom and me well. They're caring and keep families informed about doctors and dentists visits. The menu shows varied food options, which seem balanced and nutritious.
