"Satisfactory Stay with Room for Improvement"

My family member lives at Silvercrest at Deercreek right now, and for the most part, it’s been a positive experience. The people working there are really supportive. The meals are pretty decent, although my mom finds something to grumble about all the time. I’d like it if they cleaned the rooms more, maybe not just every two weeks. All in all, the place does what it’s meant to do. I think I’d tell other people they could consider moving their family here.

"Friendly staff and room service during pandemic, food could improve"

The staff here is really nice, helpful, and pleasant. They always have a great attitude. Right now, because of the pandemic, we’re eating in our rooms with plastic. If we were eating in the dining room, the food would probably be more enjoyable.

Attempt to call this place past 7:00 pm and see if anyone picks up. Request for assistance because you're worried about a resident. Do you receive a 'mailbox full' message? What if urgency was needed? Apologies, but the mailbox remains full.

"Facility Fails to Impress: High Cost, Low Quality"

My mom stayed at this place for a year. It was too pricey for a place that felt old and worn out. The meals were pretty tasteless, like something you’d get at a school cafeteria, and they didn’t give you much. Everyone had to sit at the same tables all the time, so there wasn’t much chance to make new friends. The people working in the office and at the front desk weren’t exactly welcoming. The activities they had were kind of boring and not very original. It seemed like the main office didn’t want to spend the money to make things nicer. The way the building is set up isn’t great either; it’s really sad when you see someone who has passed away being taken out through the main entrance where everyone can see. The windows in the living spaces really need to be changed out because you can hear the wind howling right through them. And the rules they had for Covid? They often didn’t make sense and didn’t do anything to help the residents feel less sad.

"Silvercrest: Adequate but not exceptional for assisted living needs."

Silvercrest has been a pretty good place for my mom. We picked it because it's smaller, which suits her better, and it's cheaper than other places around here. Plus, it's really close to where I live and work. But honestly, it's just like every other place I've seen. Nothing really special about it. And the food isn't great. Another thing, they might not have space for her if her needs change. They don't offer all the care levels, so we might have to move her later. It's kind of misleading how they make it seem like they have everything covered perfectly. But overall, it's been okay for us for now.
