"Activities Director Impressive; Food Quality Excellent, Hallways Need Improvement"
The activities director is fantastic. It's sometimes difficult to reach the finance person. The food is really good with plenty of variety. They should vacuum the hallways more often.

"Great Experience at Stonybrook Assisted Living"
We chose Stonybrook because it's close by and they quickly found us a spot. They made it easy for us by letting Mom stay in a temporary furnished place while we set up her permanent apartment. The manager has been really helpful. On Mom's first day, she was patient and knew just how to calm her down. She's excellent. The nurse has also been great, always answering my questions when I call. I would definitely recommend Stonybrook.

"Nice apartment but slow help and bland food"
Our loved one really likes her small apartment. But, when she has questions or needs help, she sometimes can't get answers or assistance quickly. She also says the food is sometimes a little bland.

"Poor Staffing and Management at Stoneybrook Assisted Living"
Stoneybrook Assisted Living was not very well-managed. They didn't have enough staff to properly look after the people living there. Despite advertising themselves as a place that specializes in memory care, their staff lacked the necessary training to deal with residents with memory issues. They messed up with giving medication to our family member - they gave her too much and she was knocked out for two days. They just didn't know how to deal with her behavior brought on by dementia. The rooms were okay, but they didn't keep them up well. For example, my loved one had to go two whole weeks without a light in her closet leading to her bathroom. Even when we reported problems like this to the people in charge, they weren't quick to fix it.
