Sometimes it takes a while for them to respond. It feels like they don't have enough staff. When you're looking for a place for your family, you might not know everything, so ask every question and address every concern! Assisted living places try to make one-size-fits-all environments work for you, but they often fall short.

"“Sunrise of Lenexa: A Friendly, Fun Place!”"
The staff at Sunrise of Lenexa are super friendly and helpful. My mom feels safe there and has made tons of friends. They have lots of fun activities, especially during holidays. I really appreciate that families can join in on the activities and parties too. I’d totally recommend this place to other families!

"Not Ideal for Our Loved One"
Sunrise of Lenexa seemed gloomy and cramped. The rooms were like small hotel rooms, making it feel like living in a bedroom. The facility is surrounded by lots of trees, and the location is good. However, it wasn't the right fit for our loved one.

"Mixed Feelings About Small Assisted Living Facility"
The people who work here are friendly, and it's a cozy place. But, they really need to fix some stuff, especially for the price they're asking. The downstairs area is okay, but upstairs needs a lot of work. Still, it seems like a good spot for someone you care about.

"Caring Staff and Good Facilities Make This Place Stand Out"
The staff here really seems to care about my loved one’s wellbeing. Compared to other places I’ve seen, this one is pretty good. They have nice outdoor spaces and areas where residents can hang out and socialize. My loved one has a 1-bedroom apartment, and the staff cleans it weekly, keeping it nice. They check on her every day, help her get to meals and activities, and make sure her meds are given on time. They’re doing a great job with all of that.

We chose Sunrise of Lenexa because it's nice and affordable. They lack transport for medical appointments and onsite therapy. Staff turnover is low, and the team is friendly and dedicated. Recommended for others seeking similar care.

This place was our first visit. Memory care on second floor didn't suit us; no safe outdoor space.
