"Convenient Location and Friendly Staff, Needs Facility Updates"
We chose this community due to its nearby location, affordable pricing with good amenities, and welcoming staff. It's the best option considering the price in this area. However, the facilities require updates for better appearance and maintenance. The food service has been inconsistent due to staffing issues in the kitchen. While we enjoyed a great activities director previously, their replacement is unknown to us. The director was initially responsive but has become less so since being replaced. The medicine management is reliable, although the house doctor's performance is average.

My family member lives at Vintage Park at Tonganoxie, and it's been a really good experience overall. The people who work here are super friendly. The cost is the same no matter what services you need, so it's easier to plan financially. I think this place would be a good choice for other families and friends.

"Disappointing Stay Despite Friendly Staff and Good Food"
When I got to the assisted living place, my room was seriously gross. The shower was full of mold and hair, the fridge wasn't clean, and the trash was overflowing. The room was incredibly dirty and you had to plug the TV in and out to get it to work. The staff was super nice and the food was great. The nurses were really sweet, but I felt let down during the four days I stayed.

"Caring Staff, Room for Improvement: Assisted Living Review"
This place cares about people. Staff check on my mom often and encourage her independence. They helped rearrange her room for more space. Keeping her room clean is a priority. There were some early miscommunications, like a missed medication. Sometimes food arrives cold. Overall, I recommend it.

"Good Job Despite Initial Problems"
When Dad first moved into this community, I would have given them a two or three stars. I don't think they evaluated him properly before he moved in, so they weren't ready for him. But they fixed things quickly. The place is clean, and the food is good. The nurses are really nice and supportive. Overall, they do a good job.

When I reached out to them to learn about their community, it seemed they might not be the right fit for us. They couldn't provide transportation as part of their usual services, but they were willing to accommodate us with an assessment. I appreciated their honest and useful feedback.
