"Atria's Neglect To Residents Over Prioritizes Covid-19 Policies"
Just had to move my Mom from Springdale's Atria living facility. It's been a hard six months with their strict Covid-19 rules. These rules caused her mental and physical health to go downhill. Her mental health took a nosedive and she dropped weight, a full ten pounds. It's just heartbreaking to think about her last few months there. Seeing her apartment when I packed up her stuff was a shock. It was plain NASTY! It was like no one had even tried to clean it. And to make things worse, I'd been paying for laundry service but it hadn't been done. She tried to do her own laundry once and it got stolen before she could finish it. But the worst part was when a neighbor told me that the helpers were teasing her. They didn’t have enough staff, and not all helpers should be allowed around old people. It feels like they care more about avoiding lawsuits than they do about taking care of their residents.
