"Loved One Enjoys Community but Wishes for Better Food"
When it comes to the meals and dining service, our family member thinks the food is bland. It's like they're preparing food for a school cafeteria. We wish there were more spices and herbs to give it a restaurant-like flavor. Based on our experience so far, we would suggest this community to other families.

"Limited Activities but Good Care and Communication"
We're happy with how they take care of our loved one and keep us informed about their well-being. However, we don't notice many activities going on or much success in getting our loved one to participate.

"Extremely poor care and neglect at Bridgepointe for memory impaired individual."
Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods might look pretty when you first walk in, but it's a very different story once you get behind those fancy doors. Honestly, if I could give them a zero for how they care for people, I definitely would. They let my loved one stay soaked in his own pee. The whole bathroom floor was so gross from the old pee where he wasn't even able to use the toilet anymore, your feet would stick to it. The stench was so bad, it could knock you down. Yet, nobody took care of him, not even bothering with adult diapers. I even found his poop on the floor, on his shoes, and his walker. Despite telling the nurses and supervisor, nothing changed. I finally spoke to the head honcho and they cleaned his room only for it to happen again in a few days. My loved one had dementia and instead of helping him get to the dining area, they just knocked on his door telling him it's time for dinner then left him alone. He was totally lost and had no clue how to get there! I was boiling mad! They never took the time to properly groom him. I ended up cutting his nails and helping him brush his teeth. This is supposed to be a memory care facility! On top of that, they ignored when he had chest pains. I finally had to insist that they checked him out. Even then, it took hours to get them to ring up the ambulance so he could go to the VA to get looked at. The nurse at the VA wouldn't even put his clothes or shoes back on him because they were drenched with pee...even his shoes! After all of that, there was no way I was sending my loved one back to Bridgepointe.

"Unsatisfactory Assisted Living Facility with Overcharged Poor Service"
This place seemed awesome at first – clean, and the people running it seemed really kind. Just a month later, we packed up and left because they weren't taking care of my family member's health issues. They would avoid answering our queries or give answers that just didn't make sense. They didn't respect or consider my family member's likes or dislikes. After we left, we found unopened mail being sent back to us. Clothes were missing. My family member was scared, didn't want to interact with anyone, and wasn't getting enough water. The folks in charge were rarely there and didn't answer any of our queries or worries. When we told them we were leaving, all they asked was, "when are you going?" We called their main office and got the same treatment. Clear to see where this lack of care comes from. Do a lot of homework before thinking about this company. They charge a crazy amount of money that doesn't match the service they're offering. I'd advise looking somewhere else. I'm puzzled about why the word "he" is in their company name. We had to pay over $10,000 for our terrible one-month experience, and I seriously don't want anyone else to go through that.
