"Nice Facility, Not Needed"
The facility was nice, but my loved one didn't require their level of care. If we needed assisted living, we'd choose this place.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living Facility"
During the two months our family member stayed there, the place stayed really clean. The staff were super nice and made sure our loved one got his medicine on time. But unfortunately, our loved one needed more specialized care than they could provide. The meals were okay, but sometimes the food was good and other times not so much. It was surprising that our loved one joined in more activities than we expected. He especially enjoyed happy hour. Considering the two months he was there and what we needed, we think it was worth the cost.

"Caring Staff, Great Food, Fun Activities"
If you’re looking for a place for your loved one, this is the perfect choice! The environment is warm and inviting, and the staff is outstanding. They really care about each resident and work hard to meet all their needs. The food is varied and tasty, and there are lots of activities to choose from, so everyone can find something they like. They go all out for holidays with special meals and decorations. Even during the pandemic, the staff did an amazing job keeping residents safe while still fostering a strong sense of community.

"Poor Care and Lack of Communication at Rivercrest Facility"
My brother had to go to Rivercrest for physical therapy after his hospital stay. He was there for two weeks. We couldn't visit him because of some rules, so no one was really checking on how he was doing. There was no specific person who could tell us about his progress. We gave them some of his nice clothes and they said they'd label them with his name, but when he came home, they were gone. He was sent home with someone else’s clothes. We tried to get information but no one would talk to us. And they didn't take good care of him. The dentist said it looked like his teeth hadn't been brushed and we could tell his hair hadn't been washed.

"Great tour, but a better fit needed for mom's care"
The staff did an awesome job during our tour. They answered all our questions and gave us a great look at the community. They have lots of amenities for the residents, but we think my mom would be better cared for in another place.

"Understaffed Assisted Living Facility Suffers from Poor Management"
Undeniably noticeable by everyone except the management team, there's a clear issue with the way this assisted living facility is managed. I've been the victim of numerous lies concerning the care of my mother and the timing of these activities. The staffing is very minimal and from what I've seen during my daily visits, all staff members, from janitors to housekeepers, are made to serve meals which, despite this, still take an inordinate amount of time to come. Hallways and laundry areas are repeatedly filled with lint. Upper management appears to be distant and cold, and I’ve witnessed them being consistently negative towards various employees, each other, and even the residents. The Resident Assistants collectively seem to lack personality. I've realized that it's actually cheaper to hire a nurse to administer medication and pay for independent level care. My interactions with the resident nurse have all been negative experiences. Staff turnover is a constant issue here. If nobody is in the office or responds when you press the buzzer, they're likely in the smoking area. Only one of the care staff I've met holds a proper CNA qualification, yet they all are allowed to lift and administer medication. Walking down the corridors, I see lots of empty rooms. I am reluctant to give my full name, fearing the less mature staff members might retaliate on my mother.

"Wonderful, welcoming place with caring staff and great atmosphere"
The Emeritus is a beautiful place and very welcoming. The staff is super helpful and always friendly and caring. Even though my mom hasn’t moved in yet, I believe the Emeritus will be a safe and happy home for her. My family wanted a community where mom would feel loved and never lonely. We’re so thankful we got a recommendation to check out the Emeritus.
