"Mixed experiences at assisted living; wouldn't recommend"
Most of the workers were nice, but some were not. Cleaning wasn't great. Communication was okay. The food wasn't good. Moving in and out was fine, but laundry was terrible. They lost many of my mom's clothes, and when we told them, they didn't seem to care. A few of the ladies were loving and great. Overall, I wouldn't suggest it.

"Helpful staff, good communication, loved one happy."
Overall, my loved one likes it there. The staff helps with things he can't do and communicates well with me to keep me informed.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I believe there could have been better communication with the residents about what's happening and what's available. Our check-out experience was also negative. When my loved one was hospitalized and we were ready to return, we were no longer eligible. I understand why, but it would have been nice if they had told us beforehand. Overall, it was a good experience.

"Attentive staff, friendly atmosphere, minor issues promptly addressed."
The staff was really great. Whenever we needed help, we just pressed a button and they came right away. They were very caring and treated our loved one and our family very well. The other residents were also really nice. They were friendly to our loved one, and I felt like she was starting to make friends before her health got worse. The only problem with cleanliness was a couple of bugs in the springtime, but we told the aide, and they sent someone to fix it right away. At one point, the aides didn't come every two hours like they said they would. They thought they didn't need to if a family member was there. But when we told them about it, they listened and fixed it. That night at dinner, we had four aides in the room ready to help. All of the aides I met were friendly and kind. I understand they don't always have enough staff to help everyone. The food was okay overall, but the desserts were really good. I think they could have done better at telling the residents what the meals would be and what other options there were. They had a menu on the table that the residents could order from, but it seemed like the residents didn't know about it, maybe because of memory problems. They have two dining rooms, one for people who need help and one for those who don't, and one kitchen that serves both. I wasn't there for many of the activities, but my loved one seemed to like the ones she went to. They also had singers come sometimes for entertainment. For what our loved one got, I think it was a good deal. The decorations in the common areas were a bit old-fashioned, but she had a nice room that was like a small apartment, three meals a day, and good medical care.
