"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
It’s okay, but costs a lot for not-so-good food and not many staff. Her TV was only set up recently after 3 months, and there were issues with the cable and missing remote. We chose this place because it had openings and she’d been here before.

"Recommend Laketown Village"
I suggest bringing your loved ones to Laketown Village. They really seem to care about the residents. The reason I gave it four out of five stars is because my sister had trouble figuring out my mom's bathing schedule at first. She wasn't getting baths regularly, and they kept mixing up the schedule. But once we got that sorted out, it has been a good place.

"Memory Care Needs Improvement"
When they moved my family member to the memory care area, it felt really cramped and exclusive. People there couldn't eat with everyone else. More nurses and aides are needed to help out. Staff didn't seem to have enough time. When they finally answered the door, it took forever to see my loved one. I could even see them arguing.

"Positive experience, great staff, variety in activities could improve. Communication excellent."
This place is really good. Mom liked it right away when we visited. They clean once a week and do a great job. Mom is very independent, but most others here aren't. It's sometimes hard for her because she's more active and wants to interact with other active residents more. They keep us informed well. The staff is really nice. One suggestion I have is to have more different activities. They have a few, but they're often the same. I would tell friends and family to consider them.

"Assisted Living Review: Safe, Active, and Caring Environment"
This place is better than staying home alone. They help manage medications. There are 2 floors here. They allow pets, and there are activities like arts and crafts, bingo, game nights, and movies. They also provide transportation to doctors on certain days. They take residents shopping or out to eat. The staff call or email about any concerns with my loved one and work to solve issues. They have mass and Bible classes weekly, plus exercise programs. The people who work here are very caring.

"Mixed Experience: Staffing and Cleanliness Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"
The workers here often changed, and that caused problems. Also, things weren't always clean. They tried with people who could move around, but they couldn't handle my family member's needs like they said they could. If you're just needing a regular assisted living spot, it might work. But if you need extra help like memory care, I wouldn't suggest it based on what happened with us.

"Limited Meal Options: Breakfast and Lunch Only"
Everyone was friendly during our tour, and the place was nice. However, we decided against this facility because they only offer breakfast and lunch. My friend isn’t always up for breakfast, so that wouldn’t have worked. In my opinion, it would be better if they provided lunch and dinner for the two meals.

"Mom Thrives in Cozy, Caring Environment"
My mom stays in the part for people who need help remembering things, and the people who help are really good. They do lots of fun stuff like playing cards and making art. The outside area is small but pretty. The food is yummy, and my mom feels secure here.

"Pretty Ideal Community"
I visited this community for my dad and his needs. It's a really nice place for seniors. Although I didn't meet many staff members, the community looked pleasant. It had plenty of space, and everything seemed good. The people I did meet were kind and friendly. However, it was too expensive for our budget. I found another community that suited us better, but I still enjoyed the tour here.

"Entrance Cluster Might Overwhelm Mom, Facility not Best Fit"
I visited this place for my mom, considering her requirements. Overall, the visit went fairly smoothly. I believe they should improve the arrangement of the complex. At the entrance, there's usually a crowd of neighbors meeting up, which could be too much for mom and could complicate her adjustment. Everyone was pleasant and supportive. Nonetheless, I didn't get the vibe that this place would suit my mom and her needs.

"Need for Memory Care Changes Assisted Living Experience"
The salesperson showed us the studio rooms for assisted living. But, the nurse's assessment showed that the memory care unit is necessary. Therefore, we need a new price and have to check this new unit out. The place seems nice though.

"Informative tour, not right fit, still recommend for others!"
I had a really good tour of this place with my mom. The staff were on time for our appointment and gave us lots of useful information about their facility. Unfortunately, it wasn't the perfect match for my mom, but I think anyone who's curious about assisted living should check it out.

"Excellent Assisted Living Community with Caring Staff"
This place is awesome! My dad's loving it here. The staff is super nice and helpful. They always pay attention to him and make sure he's okay. Dad likes hanging out with them. They've got lots of fun stuff to do, and he knows what's going on with a schedule. The food's good too! I know Dad's safe here, so I'm happy. I'd totally suggest this place to others.

"Warm, cozy atmosphere; clear orientation needed for housekeeping process."
The place has a nice feel to it, but they could do a better job explaining how things work, especially with cleaning. My mom wasn't sure when they'd clean her stuff, like laundry and linens. It would've been nice if they reminded her to put out her sheets or clothes. She's pretty independent, but it's good they check on her regularly. Once when she wasn't feeling well, they brought her breakfast, which was thoughtful. The food's alright, but breakfast seems repetitive, like eggs, grits, sausage, and a biscuit, or cereal every day. I'm not sure if my mom's asked for something different, but they offer other options for the other meals. We picked this place because she liked the cozy vibe. It's smaller and feels more like a close-knit community compared to the other places we looked at.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Informative Tour But Dated Environment"
They were at the bottom of our list. The tour was pleasant, and they gave us freebies like jams. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They excelled in explaining costs, the process, and Medicare. However, the building was old, and the carpet looked worn. Also, the price was higher than elsewhere.

"Disappointing stay, unimpressed with staff and services."
My mom stayed at this facility for nearly three weeks. The workers were friendly, but a few lacked empathy. There were times when she didn't receive her medicine. Even though she always had someone with her, she noticed that the staff didn't often come to check on her. The facility is clean and the meals were alright, although they were typically cold by the time she got them. They provided a variety of activities but they weren't designed for Alzheimer's patients.

"Clean, Varied Meals, Miscommunication, Accounting Issues"
It's really clean and nice everywhere. They have lots of different meals for us to pick from. They also have tons of things we can do here. But, when we first joined, there were some mix-ups. They promised us some stuff that we didn't get. And when we tried to talk to the money people, it was like talking to a brick wall. They made a bunch of mistakes too.

"Friendly staff, clean facility, welcoming atmosphere"
We really liked this place. Everyone, including the staff and the building itself, was super nice. Joan, who showed us around, was awesome, and the residents seemed to really like her. All the staff we met were friendly and nice too. You could tell they put in a lot of effort to make everyone feel at home. The decorations were nice, and the whole place was really clean. Even though we're not quite ready to choose it for our loved one, Brookdale Kenner has a lot of the things we're looking for.

"Pros and Cons of Assisted Living Facility"
This place has its ups and downs. I like how clean it is and the staff is caring. But there are some issues. Mom complains about cold food, medicine timing, and showers not being on time. Sometimes, the computer info isn't accurate, causing scheduling problems with less familiar workers. She mostly loves the food, but occasionally it's not as good.

""Hygiene Lacking, Indifferent Services at Otherwise Average Facility""
Memory Care constantly smells bad, partly because of the urine-soaked cushions in the common TV room. The shared shower is dirty with poop sometimes left behind, and the rooms could use better upkeep. Although the dining tables are always covered with clean cloths, unlike in Assisted Care, there are no pretty flowers. There are only occasional fun activities like trivia competitions, singing, and trips out for lunch. There's always a movie on the TV. Medicine is distributed unpredictably and unprofessionally by a third-party company. On the bright side: it's in a safe place, there's plenty of parking, the staff is friendly, the food is pretty okay, nutritional supplements are provided, and they offer full care. The unit is securely locked and is still the better choice out of all the options in the area. Families need to visit every day, handle the resident's laundry, and advocate for their loved one's needs.

"**"Happy in Her Apartment"**"
It's a new place. She enjoys her apartment and feels happy there. When we first arrived, there wasn't anyone to show us around, which made the transition less smooth than expected. However, they promptly address maintenance issues. The concierge is helpful, but some residents aren't very friendly to newcomers. The community lacks diversity.

"Great Staff, But Accounting Is Slow"
The salespeople were really nice and caring. The facilities needed some fixing up. My mom's initial assessment was close to needing assisted living, so it didn't work out for us, and she was only there for 10 days. During her short stay, most of the staff was pretty good. However, getting my fees and rent refunded is taking a long time, which might be a problem. I hope the accounting department doesn't disappoint. I'll update this review when the issue is resolved.

"Passable but Issues with Cleaning and Resident Behavior"
We've had a few problems here. The entire place is pretty tidy for the most part, but the personal spaces couldn't use some more attention. I'd give the personal spaces and cleaning a grade of 1. The employees are mostly nice, but some of them go out of their way to be helpful. As for care, we don't need a lot, so it's a little tricky to judge. The leisure activities haven't really been engaging for my family member. I'd rate the grub a four. One other problem has been dealing with a few grumpy and not-so-friendly residents.

"Watch out for rising costs at this assisted living facility"

"Impressive facility, but the care provided was rather disappointing."
When I first visited this assisted living facility, I was taken by its pleasant look and the array of recreational activities they organized. I chose this place for my dear one based on these merits. A nurse evaluated her and fixed her at a basic care level, assuring it would suffice. However, only a few days after her move-in, they escalated her care standard. It didn't stop there - soon enough, they declared her unfit for assisted living and hastily moved her into the less satisfying memory care unit. In just about a week, they labeled her as 'argumentative' and transferred her to a mental hospital. This disappointed me greatly, both the inaccurate initial evaluation and the overall handling of the situation.
