"Mixed Feelings about The Claiborne Assisted Living"
The Claiborne is a big and pretty place. It has many things for people who can do things by themselves. But to eat, you have to walk a long way. We had to buy a scooter for her. It's also expensive. The Claiborne's assisted living is okay. You just have to find what works best for the person living there.

"Assisted Living Facility Adjusting Under New Management, Shows Promise"
They have new management, so they're figuring things out. It's improving. It's affordable for me, but they need time to hire and get back on track."

"Feels Like a Luxury Hotel"
We took a tour of this place, and it has everything you could want. It looks like the Ritz-Carlton hotel, really fancy on the outside with all the newest stuff inside. The staff seemed very good at sales, almost like they had to meet a monthly goal. They weren't as friendly as we hoped. But if you have the money and like living in style, this is the place for you.

"Mixed Experience at The Blake Assisted Living"
The Blake recently changed ownership, which is a bit concerning. We couldn't see the apartment we were interested in, and our questions went unanswered. The tour guide was friendly but seemed unsure. The place felt enclosed and dark, with unexciting views from the room—either a pool or a canal. The rooms had lots of carpet, and the one we looked at hadn't been redone yet.

"Worth it if services return to pre-Covid levels"
If Covid-19 keeps going like it is now, I’d say it might not be worth the money. But if they can go back to providing the same services and activities they did before the virus, then yes, it’s worth it. The food was better when it was served in the dining room. The room sizes are nice, and the layout of the community is good.

"Smooth Transitions for Mom’s Care"
This place is pretty new, but the staff isn’t super experienced. They have medical staff on-site. Because it’s not a huge facility, my mom wouldn’t manage well in independent living, so she’d need assisted living right away. They do a good job taking care of residents as they transition from independent living to assisted living and memory care.
