"Facility Fails to Respect or Respond to Resident Needs"
This place is terrible - They're so rude. They never complete any tasks. They don't do their jobs properly, especially when residents need them. Overall, it's not a great place if you're searching for a facility.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
I mostly liked the workers' care. My loved one, though, maybe didn't fit well here. They tried to help, but sometimes missed the mark. Top management didn't communicate well. We asked for updates a lot, but it never improved. That's why we decided to move.

"A positive experience with room for improvement."
The Claiborne is a lovely place, clean and spacious. Activities are improving, but the beauty parlor isn't open yet. Overall, I'd recommend it.

"Management Changes Caused Hiccups, But Issues Are Improving"
The assisted living facility had some problems because new people started running it. That made it hard to get repairs and internet. They're working on fixing that now, so hopefully things will be better.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Experience"
To start, the new activity person doesn't do many crafts with the residents. She plans activities they don't enjoy. They need more hands-on projects to keep them interested. The previous lady did more each week. My niece finds more to do with them than the hired person does. They claim to give daily snacks, but it's usually just oranges that need cutting. Many residents can't cut them. I've been going there for almost 8 months and keep seeing things that upset me. I bring snacks they can eat easily after each visit. They need snacks every afternoon, not just once or twice a week. It's not hard for the home to provide this. Some residents like cheese nip crackers, grapes, peanut butter candy, or cinnamon cereal. They should get snacks like these every day. Instead, they often get stale cake or cupcakes. It's sad considering how much they pay to live there. Once, I saw an employee taking snacks home meant for residents. That's not fair. Residents should get snacks, not workers. Also, they have many falling incidents, and it takes a while for help to arrive even when they call for it. It's really sad.

"Inconsistent Activities and Snack Policies Trouble Assisted Living Facility"
To start, the person in charge of activities at this facility isn't doing much crafting with the residents. She's running activities they don't seem to enjoy. Ideally, they should be given hands-on projects that they find interesting and enjoyable. The previous activity coordinator didn't do much either, but they did organize more activities on a weekly basis compared to this new person. My niece, who isn't even employed there, finds more ways to engage the residents than the person who's paid to do so. There's also an issue with the promise of daily snacks. They often just put out oranges and, unfortunately, some residents cannot cut them by themselves. I've been visiting for close to eight months now and I've seen issues that have really upset me. I often bring snacks that the residents can easily eat with their fingers and I serve them in plastic cups. I vary the snacks every week. Ideally, the facility should serve snacks every afternoon, around 3 pm, to all the residents. Some of them love cheese nip crackers, grapes, peanut butter candy, and cinnamon cereal they can eat with their fingers. I sometimes bring these square wheat cereals. This is something that should be distributed daily. Offering oranges that residents struggle to cut or peel doesn't cut it. They sometimes also serve slices of cake or cupcakes that are always stale. It's unacceptable given the amount of money these people pay to live here. Another upsetting thing I witnessed is an employee taking home a dish of sweets from the communal area. I don't think snacks are meant to be taken home by staff. It seems unfair that the workers can have snacks but the residents, who actually live there, can't. Additionally, there seems to be an issue with the response time to falls. Residents often have to wait for a concerning length of time for assistance, even after pressing the help button. Overall, it's a really sad situation.

"Improving Assisted Living Facility Shows Promise Under New Management"
I hope it gets better now that new people are taking care of it in the building. They need to start doing things right so that no one else leaves. The inside is nice, but they should screen people better and take care of the patients' needs. With God's help, it will become a much better place to leave your loved ones without any worries. Let's hope this change is for the best.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Outdoor Maintenance"
This place could look nicer if they took care of the yard more, especially the fountain. And the building could use a good scrub on the outside.

"New Assisted Living Choice: The Claiborne Supports Family Needs"
We visited several places for mom and dad, and The Claiborne seemed the best option. It's new and meets both parents' needs, though it has some initial issues. The staff is supportive and willing to improve. A Place For Mom was instrumental in guiding our decision.

"Top Choice for Mom and Dad"
We checked out a few spots for mom and dad, and The Claiborne seemed like the best pick. It's a new place and can cater to the different needs of both parents! Since it's new, there are a few things to figure out; no place is perfect, but I think The Claiborne is open to working with the whole family to make mom and dad's life better. I'm really thankful for being able to help mom and dad make such an important choice. Thanks to A Place For Mom for helping us make the right decision for our parents! We're telling other family members about The Claiborne to assist them in their decisions too.
