Atria Longmeadow Place

"Excellent Care and Comfortable Environment"
The staff at this place really cares. When one of the helpers heard my mom say something hurt, she called us right away to let us know and ask if we could get my mom to see a doctor. Overall, it's a nice place and we trust that my mom will get good care.

We haven't eaten the meals ourselves, but from talking to our loved one, he really enjoys the meals, dining, and activities.

"Excellent COVID-19 Safety and Great Facilities at Longmeadow"
Longmeadow is doing an excellent job handling COVID-19. I've heard about nearby assisted living centers where staff have gotten sick and, sadly, some have died. Here, infections among residents have been very rare. They do constant testing and there hasn’t been any spread between residents that I know of. The facilities are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and caring, and the dining is top-notch. There are tons of activities, like live music and museum trips, when things are normal.

"Resembled Nursing Home, Unfit for Mother-in-law's Needs"
This place seemed just like a nursing home. My mother-in-law isn't ready for that kind of help yet.

"Nice Community"
Atria was a super nice place with really friendly staff, but it was just too large for what we wanted. The community is very clean and well taken care of. The staff is super nice and tries to be helpful. Our only issue was that it was just too big for our taste.

"Affordable Care with Delicious Meals: Atria's Excellent Low-Income Option"
We picked Atria 'cause they have a cheap program with good care. We ate with our family member, and the food was really tasty, a solid 5. Can't rate value and activities yet.

"Comfortable Senior Living with Friendly Staff, But Pricey and Warm"
This place has a nice atmosphere and cool activities. The staff is nice and knows what they're doing. But it's a bit expensive. My mother-in-law, who's in her late 80s, felt cozy and liked being able to do things on her own, like going to the store, pharmacy, and doctor's office with the van service. However, there's a problem with the air not circulating well. They only turn on the air conditioning in the common areas at first, so it gets really warm and uncomfortable, especially on the top floor and the side facing west at night.

"Concerns about single lift rule; Director helpful but unsure."
I talked to the boss lady, and she was super nice. But I'm kinda nervous about this place having only one elevator.

"Assisted Living Units with a 'Retreat"
They offer two-bedroom units with assisted living services, but no nursing home. However, they do have a 'Retreat' with rehab and respite services.

"Better Tour Experience at Atria Maplewood Place"
The tour was great and taught me a lot. The building looked nice, and the rooms were well-done. Although I enjoyed the trip, I preferred Atria Maplewood Place.

"Great Assisted Living Experience"
I really liked the facility. There's nothing negative to say, although the dementia unit didn't feel overwhelming.
