Our family member stayed at Atria Woodbriar. Care was poor. No kitchen in Assisted Living. Moved to better facility.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I've been here for almost three weeks. The heater in my apartment has only worked for about three days during that time. I moved here from California and don’t have a car yet. Even though I'm quite young and have good mobility, I have a lot of health problems. After the first week, they reevaluated my needs and reduced my services because of my health. Now I'm at the bottom of the priority list. I don't get rides or anything. On the bright side, the staff is great in many ways. The food is better than average, but it gets repetitive even after just a couple of weeks.

""Needs Enhanced Training for Food Servers""
The Atria Woodbriar community could definitely do better in training their food servers.

"Unsatisfactory Care at Atria Woodbriar"
We had a family member stay at Atria Woodbriar for around two years, and we wouldn't suggest it to anyone. They should have been honest about how well they could take care of them.

"Unexpected Rent Increase Causes Financial Strain, Caution Advised"
The place where my loved one lives raised the rent a lot after only four months, about $[removed] more! Instead of having enough money for around six years, now he only has two and a half. I might need to find a new place for him soon that costs less, but I'm not sure if I can. I think they should promise in writing not to raise the rent for a year, and if they do, it should only be a reasonable amount. If they can do that, then I would say it's okay to recommend them.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The independent living is pleasant. Assisted living feels lonely, with medication issues. However, it's clean, and the front desk staff are very nice.

"Be Prepared: Assisted Living Communication Falls Short"
I find these questions really strange. The communication disappoints me; sometimes no one picks up the phone. The medical care seems absurd. I'd advise others to be well-prepared with their questions beforehand because they won't share everything.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Good Staff, Too Large for Needs"
The community had friendly staff, but it felt too large.

"Clean, Friendly, and Socially Supportive Assisted Living Facility"
I really like how clean this place is and how great the staff is. These things are super important when you're moving an elderly family member into assisted living. The social activities here are also important to help residents adjust to this big change, like moving out of their own home. These good things make up for anything that's not perfect. Overall, they are very accommodating.

"Assisted Living Facility Offers Friendly Community and Varied Activities"
It's a nice place. The staff and residents are friendly, and it's good value. They offer activities like movies, social gatherings, laughter therapy, trivia, and exercise programs for residents. The food is usually good or very good.

"Excellent care and activities make this facility well worth it"
The people and staff at this place really convinced us it was the right choice. Everyone we’ve met has been kind, caring, considerate, and respectful. They treat our loved one like royalty and keep us updated all the time. They've been very open about everything during the pandemic, and their communication is excellent. The food is decent not gourmet, but not bad either and there are tons of activities. They do a lot of different things, like happy hours and holiday parties. Our loved one is always busy, and they even added more space in the dining room. Given our experience, we think it's definitely worth it.

"Beautiful place, great tour, a bit expensive."
We toured Atria about 4 years ago. It was a very beautiful place, and the tour was excellent. The director personally showed us around. I do remember it being a bit expensive, but I would definitely recommend others to check it out.

"Great amenities, different food in memory care"
We picked Atria Woodbriar because they had the most amenities, but we couldn't use many due to COVID. They have a pool, restaurants, and more. My wife is in memory care, and they serve different food there than in other parts. I would recommend it to others.

"Poor Service After Payment, No Refund for Short Stay"
At first, everyone seemed nice, but once they got my money, it was like they disappeared. I kept leaving messages, asking for someone to call me back, but no one ever did. It felt like there was no real care or help, even though I paid for a whole night’s stay. And when I asked for my money back for the two months I paid, even though my family member only stayed one night, they said no.

"I'd recommend this community."
The food here is really tasty, and they have lots of choices. The staff is amazing—so caring and attentive. The young man who helped my dad was also very kind. My only concern is the construction issues. There's dust in the air, and some of the floors are uneven, which makes it tough for some residents to walk. But overall, they're doing their best to keep the community clean.

"Welcoming Environment with Plenty of Activities!"
The Atria Woodbair feels really nice. The people who work there take good care of my dad and are super friendly. His room is big, with its own bathroom, and always clean. They offer lots of things to do, even though my dad hasn't tried any yet. It's good to know there are lots of options for him.

"Caring and Efficient, Despite Remodeling Challenges"
Overall, they have been very caring and sensitive, and super efficient in helping us get my father-in-law settled in. He had a big move from France to here. The only problem is they are going through some changes and there are some issues with the remodeling. But the staff, especially in the dementia unit, are amazing. The care and service are top-notch. My father-in-law has had a very positive response, which has surprised and impressed us. They really care about making the residents feel at home.

"Safe and Clean, but Bathrooms Need Work"
The place has an old-fashioned charm but the bathrooms could be safer. The staff are pretty nice and there’s no bad smell—it’s super clean. The meals seem tasty and it’s got a cozy hotel vibe. Folks around look cheerful and it seems like a good spot for my mom.

"Recommended by experts, value rating still uncertain"
We picked Atria Woodbriar because someone from A Place For Mom and other people we talked to suggested it. It's hard to say how good the value is right now, so I’m not sure how to rate it yet.
