"Family Proximity Influenced Second Choice Assisted Living Selection"
During my visit to this community, the staff and the place itself were very pleasant. It was my second choice. The other place we saw was closer, and I preferred my loved one to be nearer to me.

"Dim Assisted Living Facility Raises Concerns"
Our family took an in-person tour during COVID, and we thought that under different circumstances, it might have been better. However, the place appeared dark, congested, and the hallways were narrow.

"Falling Standards: High Prices, Fewer Services at Assisted Living Facility"
We get that there's a shortage of staff in this industry and we acknowledge that the folks working there are nice and do the best they can. However, the people who manage the place, from those in charge of daily operations all the way up to the big bosses, are dropping the ball. They just hiked the rent again, while the quality of services and care has taken a nosedive. It doesn't seem like any of the higher-ups have taken a pay cut whereas they've slimmed down the nursing staff until there's no round-the-clock coverage. Stuff isn't being properly handed off from one nurse to the next. The food, previously decent, now features a ton of processed items and heavy on carbs. We're talking about pasta, frozen pizza, chicken strips, hot dogs, and hamburgers on a hot dog bun, and they pile on the desserts. The helpers don't seem to have had adequate training. They don't seem to care when someone has to use the restroom or needs help getting cleaned up. They're fine with leaving these folks in dirty clothes or underwear all day. Residents end up feeling lonely. I don't blame just the helpers, the problem mainly lies with those running the show. They care more about making money than people's well-being. This has moved beyond neglect and is looking more like abuse.

"Attentive Care and Convenient Location with Room for Improvement"
"It's not something you want to have to do, but if you need to, they're very good. They pay close attention to your needs, and the facilities are clean and easy to get around. Being near my home is a big plus. I'm used to really good food because my wife is a chef, so compared to her cooking, some of the meals here aren't great and can get repetitive. But overall, I'd recommend them to others."

"Lovely Community with Kind Staff, Found Better Benchmark Elsewhere"
This community is nice. When I visited, the staff was nice and friendly. They told me things and answered my questions. They seem to keep everything clean, which is good. It was a good visit, but we found another Benchmark that suited us better.

"Headline"
The place was pleasant and tidy. It was bigger than expected, slightly worn down, but the staff were delightful.

"Wonderful care and a welcoming atmosphere at Chelmsford Crossing"
Chelmsford Crossing is a really nice and caring place. From the very first day, we felt welcomed and know our family member is getting great care. Choosing this place was a smart decision, and we feel lucky to have found Chelmsford Crossing.
