"Assisted Living Facility: A Fairly Good Choice"
This place looks pretty nice, kinda like an old carriage house. It's kept up well, which is good. There's a part just for VA-approved nursing care if someone needs it. Outside, there's lots of space for walking or just chilling. They even offer rides to the doctor. The service is okay for what you pay. Just make sure they stick to the care plan.

"Great Care and Warm Atmosphere at Blaire House Assisted Living"
Blaire House is really nice. It's not too big, which makes it feel more like home. Everyone there is friendly and makes you feel welcome. The care they provide is good, and we've been happy with it. Our family member doesn't always join in the activities, but they try hard to get him involved, which we appreciate. During COVID, they have done a great job keeping everyone safe. They've made changes to visits and clean everything really well. Even with everything going on, we were impressed and happy with Blaire House.

"Great, clean community with good food and activities pre-COVID"
Our loved one first lived on the assisted living side, and we thought they could handle her memory problems. Now she lives on the nursing side. This community is great and pretty clean. Right now, they have stopped activities because of COVID, but before, they had church, yoga, and exercise classes. On Fridays, they had get-togethers before dinner. The rooms are a good size; she is in a one-bedroom. We'd give that a four out of five. The food is not bad; we'd rate it four and a half out of five.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The place is usually well-maintained and fairly clean. However, some entrances and community areas are locked, making restroom access difficult, especially for those with dementia. A few staff members are very caring, which we appreciate. Others seem distant and hard to engage with. My wife enjoys living here, especially with the nurses available. They take good care of her throughout the day. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I'm concerned about multiple virus cases in the nursing center. There's been poor communication about their efforts to control the spread. We're also kept in the dark about the state audit on virus readiness and any corrective actions.

"Warm Welcome and Cozy Environment at Blair House"
Blair House is cozy and inviting. I was warmly greeted by the staff, and the memory care rooms I saw were very pleasant. It's great that they also have a nursing home side so residents can be easily transferred if needed. There was a man sitting in a lounge area when I arrived. He must have read my mind because, when our eyes met, he said, "It's good here. It's really good."

"Needs Unmet, Overwhelming Tour, Good Long-Term Care"
This place isn’t matching what we’re looking for right now. The tour had way too much going on for us. It didn’t really measure up to other spots we’ve checked out, although it’s got solid options for staying a long time.

Nice tour; everyone was friendly. Community looked nice and clean. Polite staff answered questions. Good experience but not for my father's needs.

"Avoid Blair House: Dismal Care and Minimal Staff Interaction"
My father's experience at this assisted living facility was absolutely terrible. After his hip operation, my dad spent 5 weeks in their "memory care" ward. I visited him there every day and I was dismayed by the lack of interaction between the staff and the residents. The common room was often dominated by a deafening TV airing game shows - certainly not suitable for Alzheimer patients. Throughout this ordeal, I was torn between sadness and fury. The moment my dad healed, I vowed to move him to another home. We ended up at Emeritus, where I saw the staff earnestly interacting with their residents. My heart aches for the other patients we had to leave behind in that dreadful facility. Blair House is just not the right place if you truly care for your elderly relatives. The staff may appear professional at first, but you'll soon realize it's a dreadful place. They didn't even bother to provide comfy chairs for their patients in the so-called "family room.

"Overall Good Experience with Minor Issues 4 to 4.5 Rating"
Things are going well so far. I haven't had any problems with billing or the staff. I'd rate them a four or four and a half.

My loved one didn't stay here long, but they did a great job! The staff is friendly and professional, and they were very thoughtful. They worked hard to make sure she was comfortable.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Professional Staff"
I visited this place when choosing care for a family member. I checked out several nearby places, but this one caught my eye for being really nice! The building was well-maintained and tidy, and everyone I talked to was nice and knew their stuff. I think it's worth checking out!

"Outstanding Care from Nursing Staff for Nearly Three Years"
I want to give a big thank you to the nursing staff on the first floor who took care of Mr. and Mrs. Pereira for almost three years. Especially Imanuel and the two Johns who looked after Jose they were the most caring and dedicated professionals!
