"Decent Facility, But Lacking in Care"
This was the first place our loved one lived. It was okay. The building was nice and clean. I liked it fine, but when we moved to the next place, it was clear they didn't give the same level of care. He wasn’t used to it and got really paranoid, started showing early signs of dementia, and became very depressed. It was clear we needed to move him somewhere else.

"Corcoran House Excels in Cleanliness and Resident Engagement"
The community at Corcoran House is always clean. My mother’s apartment and the bathroom are consistently tidy, earning high marks for cleanliness. The staff, while varying in friendliness, is great with residents. However, care for higher-needs residents could be improved. Corcoran House engages residents in activities effectively, encouraging participation. Despite challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, Corcoran House prioritizes resident safety.

"Positive Experience at Unique Assisted Living Facility"
I visited twice recently and completely disagree with old negative reviews. The rooms are nicely varied (it was once a school), not at all like a nursing home—more like a fancy apartment with great common areas. Staff interacted well with tenants. Lunch was delightful, felt like a nice restaurant. Definitely staying on our list!

"A Most Appealing Assisted Living"
I've been there twice recently, and I strongly disagree with the old negative comments on this site. My overall experience was positive. The rooms are very nice, each with a unique layout (it used to be a school). It didn't feel like a nursing home; more like a pleasant apartment building with lovely common areas, a dining room, and a friendly staff. Lunch was delicious—soup, salad, two main entree choices, dessert, coffee, tea, and juice. It felt like a nice restaurant. We'll definitely keep it on our list, even though we haven't rated the services yet—only visited.

"Nice Community, But Not Quite Right for Us"
I visited this place with my family, and it was pretty nice. People were really nice to us. We had to think about a lot of things before moving my aunt here. It's a good community, but it wasn't the perfect fit for us. Overall, it was a good experience.

"Pleasant Visit, Not the Perfect Fit"
I went on a tour of this place and it was pretty good. The people there were super nice to me and my family. We had a lot to think about when choosing a new home for my aunt. This place was alright, but it just wasn’t the right match for us. All in all, it was a decent visit.

"Old-fashioned Feel, Not Ideal for Loved One"
We visited this place while seeking care for our family. I didn't feel it'd be cozy for my loved one. It seemed too old-fashioned and like a nursing home. I didn't think she'd enjoy it.

"Felt too much like a nursing home"
We checked out this place while seeking care for our family member. From what I observed, I didn't believe they'd feel at ease here. It seemed really outdated and institutional. It reminded me too much of a nursing home, and I didn't think they'd enjoy staying here.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Mediocre Assisted Living: Needs Improvement"
This assisted living place has room for 40 people and is a four-story building that used to be a school. It’s been fixed up, but the design is tight and tricky to get around. The place is just okay. I saw a room on the first floor that was kind of messy and dirty. There weren’t any people hanging out in the shared spaces, but I could smell fresh paint in an empty room that was being redone. They didn’t have any activities going on, except for a Bible/prayer group in one area. It seems like they don’t have many staff members. I didn’t see anyone in the kitchen between 11:15 and 11:30 AM, there was only one person cleaning on the fourth floor, and another helper was doing paperwork in a shared area on the second floor. The outside of the building is in a good spot, close to the town park, city hall, library, movie theater, and shops. The rooms have a cramped feel, with old-looking cabinets and bathroom stuff, not much closet space, and it’s pretty noisy everywhere. They also play music really loud in the place where people eat. The rooms on the fourth floor are nicer and feel more open. There’s no place or staff for physical therapy here. The food choices aren’t great. They didn’t say anything about safety or security. You get one hour of care every day, but if you need help from two people to move, you can’t stay here. They didn’t talk about money stuff at all. Overall, I wouldn’t put this place at the top of my list.

"Assisted Living Facility With Unappealing Offerings and Limited Staffing"
This assisted living facility has 40 residents and is located in a remodeled, four-story school. The layout is rather complex and can be confusing for newcomers. The living conditions are just okay, with one of the lower level units looking surprisingly unclean. You won't find any pleasant fragrances in the common areas, but vacant units that have been refurbished still maintain a fresh paint smell. They don't offer a lot of activities, although there was a bible study group meeting in one common area. It seems that staffing can be quite limited - during my visit, the kitchen was empty between 11:15 and 11:30, and there was only one member of the housekeeping team on the fourth floor. The outside of the facility is conveniently located near a park, town hall, a library, a movie theater, and stores. On the downside, the rooms have a cramped layout with dated cabinets and bathroom fixtures, limited closet space, and high background noise levels on all floors. Plus, the dining area plays music that’s a bit too loud. There’s no physical therapy room or staff on site. In terms of food, the menu doesn't look too appealing. On the plus side, every resident automatically receives one hour of daily care, but those requiring assistance with twice-daily body lifts will have to find another place to live. Importantly, there was no talk about finances during my visit. In summary, this place isn’t high on my list of preferred assisted living facilities.
