"Lacked Desired Amenities"
The community was nice, but it lacked some amenities we wanted, like a full kitchen, washer and dryer in the unit, and free Wi-Fi.

"Affordable, spacious, with caring staff, but lacking communication."
We picked Landmark at Ocean View because a friend was already there and it fit our budget better than other places we checked. We liked that it's privately owned. The rooms are big and comfy. The nurses were really nice and did their best for my mom. There are lots of activities for residents, which is good. But it'd be better if the staff communicated more. I'd tell others to check it out.

"Caring Staff and Good Food Make Oceanview a Nice Place"
My family member stayed at Oceanview for a while. Most of the aides were really nice, helpful, and quick to help. The people who cleaned and did laundry did a good job. The restaurant staff were always nice and polite, and the food was good too. No matter where someone stays, as long as family members pay attention and speak up for their loved ones, everything should go smoothly.

"Dilapidated Assisted Living Facility Neglects Residents and Ignores Repairs"
Beware! This facility is unfit and unsanitary. As of my last visit on 3/29/2017, it is heavily populated with bed bugs amongst other issues. Any positive reviews are most likely authored by the marketing team. The structure is crumbling and the owner prefers to fund his own real estate ventures over needed repairs. A hefty unpaid electric bill is overlooked since the electric company can't discontinue service to the elderly occupants. The staff includes drug addicts who have even overdosed on the property. While the occupants sit in uncomfortably soiled diapers, employees prefer to sleep and play on their phones rather than attend to their needs. The negatives are countless.

"Great Tour and Cozy Facility!"
Thanks for the great tour with [Removed]. They were informative and professional. The residents seemed happy and well cared for, and I found the facility clean, cozy, and safe. Ultimately, we chose a different location due to proximity to my brother and me. Sincerely, [Removed].

"Untrustworthy Director Leads Disrecommended Assisted Living Facility"
This facility's head boss is menacing and has a really suspicious past. It's surprising that the owners still let him run the place despite being aware of its reputation. I seriously wouldn't recommend putting anyone you care about in there. We definitely didn't!

"Poor Conditions and Disrespectful Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
Don't be fooled by this facility's pleasing exterior, it's far from satisfactory. The building suffers from considerable mold issues due to a persistent leakage problem on the 3rd floor. To add to its list of defects, the elevator frequently malfunctions. There is a severe lack of competent management. The individuals in the memory care unit are plopped in front of a TV all day with little interaction. The food provided is rarely hot, a frequent complaint amongst residents. Even more disturbing, I've personally witnessed staff members pilfering food intended for the residents. This issue, despite many complaints and warnings, continues unabated with no tangible repercussions. I believed that the purpose of the helpers was to ensure the safety and comfort of the residents during meals, not serve themselves food, chat about hair or dance inappropriately. The disrespectful behaviors include being on personal phones and tablets, even sneaking away to nap in closets. The assistants also show a lack of respect towards residents, making them the butt of their jokes. Please take these claims seriously if your loved one reports such happenings; they are not fabricating these issues. I strongly encourage you to consider other facilities before choosing this one, as the negatives overwhelmingly overpower the few positive aspects.

"Landmark Falls Short: Poor Maintenance and Questionable Care Policies"
This place could be something special. But it seems like the big bosses don't want to, or can't, pay for important fixes. You know, like the huge leaks in the ceiling that have been there forever. It's hard to keep up with who's in charge because the top-level staff keeps changing. It's not too long ago when Landmark used to be affordable to more folks, almost 60% of them. But that's not the case anymore. If a family's got a lot of money to pay for their loved one's stay, Landmark is more than happy to take it, even if they can't provide the right level of care. There's no way I'd let someone I care about live there!

"Poor Care and Disrespectful Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is terrible. The employees are always distracted by their phones, and don’t appear to genuinely care about the residents or what they need. When I went to see my grandma, I overheard the caregivers trash talking and laughing about the people they are supposed to care for. We moved her out of there as fast as we could. I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone.

"Perfect Place for Alzheimer’s Care"
Landmark at Oceanview was just right for my mother-in-law with Alzheimer’s. The wide hallways and big windows make it feel open and airy. The staff was super helpful, friendly, and always smiling!

"Adequate Assisted Living"
Grandma's 90, so pleasing her is tough. She thinks the aides sneak drinks and snack on the job, but that's just her feeling. The place is okay—not as fancy as Herrick House, but way cheaper. It's an old building, a rehabbed school, part of the PACE program. No major issues, but no maintenance staff always painting like at Herrick. Care is decent; she's in independent living now, just needs help showering. They cut the activity director to save money. Overall, it's okay, and the food's better.

"Needs Improvement: Not Dad’s Cup of Tea"
I wasn’t too happy with the assisted living place I saw today. Here’s why: The building really needs some fixing up. The workers were alright, but they didn’t seem very professional. I just can’t picture my Dad having a good time there.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Diverse Activities and Support Options"
This facility offers 85 apartments for residents aged 55 to 97. There are about 100 residents in total. Activities include a weekly shoppers shuttle and a Friday happy hour with beer, wine, and soda. If you're looking for a place, there's a one-bedroom apartment available at the end of September for $3850 per month. They offer different levels of care: 30, 60, and 90 minutes. The basic fees cover 30 minutes; each additional 30 minutes costs $300. For residents needing memory care like Alzheimer's, there's a Morningstar unit. They participate somewhat in general activities but also have their own calendar. Residents get one free cab ride per month for doctors and such. An aide can go along for $20 per hour. There's financial assistance through the PACE program. To qualify, you need assets of less than $2000 and make less than $2000 per month. After keeping $75, the rest goes toward rent and is billed to PACE.
