"Caring and Spacious Memory Care at Manor on the Hill"
I believe my loved one is well cared for at Manor on the Hill. The staff show genuine concern for her. She has a comfortable semi-private room in memory care with ample space for her and her roommate. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

"Staff Advised Against It"
I knew about Manor on the Hill already. The place seemed nice, but the staff told me it wouldn’t be right for my loved one.

"Odor and Small Rooms: Expensive and Unpleasant Assisted Living Experience"
I think this place smelled bad. The rooms were tiny, like dorms. I couldn't see fitting anything in them. They cost too much for what they offered. It didn't feel calm or peaceful. The people living there didn't seem happy.

"Great activities and care, with some minor issues to resolve"
My loved one really enjoys the activities and social time here. They bake, sing songs, and play bingo. I was surprised and happy to see her playing bingo, especially since she has Alzheimer's. We had a few worries about people going into her room and either taking or leaving things, but I know that's common in memory care places. They did find her glasses, which was a relief. She's been using a lot of Depends lately, so we're still figuring that out. They’re definitely working with us to solve this issue. I think Covid has made things tricky, but with things opening up, visiting has become easier. I work in this field and have seen many facilities, and this one is definitely among the best for her.

"Poor Maintenance and Lack of Concern in Assisted Living Facility"
This place has mold in several bathrooms. They don't handle repairs efficiently. It feels like the owners only worry about their profit and show no consideration for their staff or the people living here. I genuinely believe your loved ones deserve to stay at a better place. Honestly, don't let your relative live here. The place is crawling with bugs everywhere.

"Abuse, Neglect, and Poor Service at Manor on the Hill"
My mom stayed at the Manor on the Hill for nearly a year and a half. In that time, they've gone through 3 different leaders. Their nurse only works part-time and can't handle all the residents. The aides aren't trained well, and on one occasion, we saw them going through my mom's stuff when she was at the hospital. The level of care is so poor, it feels like abuse and neglect. Older women often get urinary tract infections, which can cause strange behavior and balance problems. The staff told us my mom fell next to her bed and was laughing, which isn’t like her. We asked the nurse to test her for a urinary tract infection, but she wasn't able to. Mom ended up in the hospital for a UTI and had to stay for a week before transferring to a rehabilitation place while we found a new home for her. Moving an older person is tough on them both physically and emotionally but we had no choice because she kept telling us she was being mistreated and it looked like she was. I've tried reaching out to the new leader about getting our deposit back, but he's ignored my calls and emails without giving any reason. The facility itself has always been poorly run. The food is bad and unappetizing. There's hardly any socializing going on, and there's only the dining room to hang out in on the first floor. They hardly have any activities for the residents to do. The high staff turnover suggests low job satisfaction, probably because of low pay and no benefits. It's clear that they don't train their workers. When you're looking after an older parent, especially one with memory issues, you need to trust the people and place you're leaving them with. Manor on the Hill doesn't offer this, and I strongly advise anyone with family there to move them out - it's that bad.

"Steer Clear of the Manor, It's Failing Its Residents"
My mom stayed there for a while, but it's gotten so bad that we had to move her. The staff is always changing and they don't even know how to do their jobs right. They treat the residents terribly and my mom even said they were abusing her. A nurse practitioner who works outside the Manor will no longer take care of patients there because she's afraid she'll lose her license. I've reported this place to the authorities and I'm pretty sure they're going to close it down. Get out of there as quickly as you can.

"Assisted Living Needs Safer Shower Seats"
This place used to be a hotel and still kinda looks like one. They're fixing it up slowly. The workers seemed nice and the people living there seemed happy. But, there's a big problem with the shower seats they're made of granite! They might look nice, but if someone slips in the shower, they could hit their head on it. Not the best idea for a seat it could be cold and slippery.

"Nice Tour, but Not the Right Place"
I had a nice tour of this place. Everything went well, and everyone was friendly. The community looked nice and was well-kept. I didn't really like the rooms they showed me. Overall, it was a good experience, but it wasn't the right place for us.

"Terrible Conditions at The Manor's Alzheimer's Unit"
I've been hunting for a suitable home for my mom and have looked at all the three assisted living centers in Leominster. The Manor seemed okay and it's the cheapest option. I had a nice meeting with a lady there, but my opinion changed when we visited the Alzheimer's unit. It felt neglected and had a noticeable smell of urine. The residents were either aimlessly walking or sleeping in chairs. The staff didn't bother engaging with them at all.

"Welcoming staff, tidy rooms, no kitchen, onsite activities, convenient location."
The place has really nice people working there, and the rooms are pleasant too. But they don’t have a kitchen in the rooms. It's kept clean, and they have activities at an Adult Day Health program. The dining room is nice, and it’s close to Route 2.
