"Management Responds Quickly, Paperwork Needs Attention"

The management is helpful in resolving issues, and they respond to requests promptly. The only criticism is ensuring paperwork stays up to date.

"Nice Community but Longer Respite Stays Required"

We checked out this place for a short stay for our loved one. The community looked nice and the people we met were friendly and helpful. However, they only offer stays for thirty days or more, and we needed something shorter.

"Friendly and Helpful Staff!"

I visited this place with my family for my grandma. They showed us around and answered all our questions nicely. It was a nice visit, no problems at all. We chose a place closer to her friends.

"Maplewood's Negligence Caused Our Mom's Physical Decline"

Our move to Maplewood's Currents was an absolute disaster. We moved Mom there and it really didn't go well for her. Within just four months, she lost her ability to walk and even eat. She had to go into rehab from Maplewood to try to regain her strength, but ended up only being able to lift her head and smile or laugh. She possibly won't be able to walk again. The staff at Maplewood suggested we use Trazodone for safety considerations, and that's when things really took a nosedive. She changed from a lively, popular person at her previous assisted living facility to someone who couldn't even raise her head to talk or eat. She had been walking slowly but surely in February when she moved in. Now, she's bound to her wheelchair. While at Maplewood, she also started fainting a lot and ended up in the hospital many times. Since leaving Maplewood in June, she hasn't fainted at all. It feels like the folks running Maplewood want the residents of the Currents to all be the same - drowsy, unresponsive, and basically just easy to handle. It also seems like they bank on family members not being involved in their relatives' care. They've lied to us more than once, tried to overcharge us, and often just didn't respond to our emails. Contracts mean nothing to them. When we had an argument over what we were being charged, they claimed that the numbers in our signed contract were incorrect. Don't let the gorgeous building and grounds fool you. Things aren't as good as they seem. We hope our review helps other families to avoid the pain we've suffered. If only we could do things differently.

"Becoming Expensive To Live Here"

This community seemed nice, but it's not working out for my brother-in-law. He's unhappy here. Initially, he was in the assisted living section, but they moved him elsewhere. They also raised his fees and charge $1,000 for medication management. While it looks modern and appealing, it's becoming too expensive for our budget.
