"Disappointing experience at Standish Village"
I was really let down by Standish Village. My brother didn't end up staying there. The food was okay, but that's about it. The sales team should be clearer about what they can and can't offer. I'd suggest looking elsewhere. I picked it because I thought it'd be perfect for my brother.

"Great staff, but activities need improvement."
The manager [name removed] has been fantastic, and one of the nurses [name removed] has been really helpful. But, this place could do better with the quality of activities.

"Review: Negligence and Disregard Seen in Assisted Living Facility"
At first it seemed that my mom was content in this assisted living center. However, as she required more care, the aides began taking unfair advantage and exploiting her. I personally saw three different aides picking up pills my mom dropped on the floor and giving them back to her. When I was faced with two of these aides and brought up this issue with the facility's high-ranking staff, I was given thanks because there was no existing rule against giving pills off the floor! These aides are taught to wash their hands, yet there's no written rule about not giving floor pills to residents. This is totally unacceptable! At the end of her time there, my mom expressed disappointment, feeling that the aides were indifferent towards her. It's truly unfortunate.

"Lacking Care: Staff Gave Pills from Floor in Assisted Living Facility"
At first, my Mom seemed content here, but as she started to need more help, it seemed like the workers took advantage of her. I saw three different workers pick up my Mom's pills from the floor and give them back to her. I took a stand and told the top officials what was going on and to my disbelief, they thanked me because they didn't even have a written policy about not giving pills from the floor back to their residents. They teach their staff the basics like handwashing, but not to avoid giving fallen pills to their residents? This is truly horrible. My Mom felt like the workers were indifferent by the end of her stay, really upsetting.

"Challenging Times with Assisted Living Director"
Over the past few years, our family member has received care from some really nice people. However, working with the current director has been tough. She’s often inflexible and sometimes doesn’t act the way a professional should. Her approach has made a hard time even harder and more stressful for us. She’s just not the right match for our family.

"This Community Wasn't What I Expected"
The people who run this place need to be nicer when they talk to us. We've had lots of arguments about how they take care of my family member. It feels like they care more about money than the people who live here. But the staff who work with my family member are really good. The place looks nice, and they have lots of great things to offer. If I could, I'd move in.

This place might not be the best fit. It's pricey and limited options. It's in a nice area with transportation nearby, but everyone seems older. Staff are friendly but may not meet all needs. Location is convenient. Fitting in with others is important. Unsure about activity follow-through.

"May not be right for him"
I don't think this place is the best fit for him. The cost is a concern, and there aren't many other options. It's close to transportation, and Lower Mills seems okay, but the residents are much older than he is. He tries to connect with them, and they're friendly, but they can't provide the help he needs. The location is convenient, though, right next to his morning workout spot. The main issue is fitting in with the other residents. As for Standish following through on activities, I can't say for sure since I don't live there.
