"Poor Experience: Inadequate Care and Communication at Facility"

I'd advise people to avoid their memory care section. They lack the skill to manage the patients properly. It was a terrible match for my family member. They have to get far better at talking with the family. The nurses didn't even bother to read my loved one's profile.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

They have activities, but I haven't joined any yet. The staff is friendly. If your loved one wants to live independently, this isn't for them. It's more for those who need help.

"Mixed Recommendations for Assisted Living Facility"

I wouldn't suggest it for dementia care, not even a bit. However, I'd definitely recommend them for other types of care. They made big promises, but unfortunately, they didn't deliver.

"Great care and value, but activity access could improve."

The common areas at The Residence at Melrose Station are always clean, especially compared to other senior living places. The staff is very friendly and remembers me every time I call. It's reassuring that department heads often answer my questions. The care is excellent, and during the Covid-19 pandemic, they’ve done a lot to keep residents safe without extra charges. Compared to other local communities, The Residence at Melrose is a great value. The only downside is their flat fee for care levels instead of charging per service. Although they offer great activities, the location for them is not very accessible for those with limited mobility. Having activities on each level would make them more accessible to everyone.

"Great Care and Fun Activities at Residence at Melrose Station"

My family picked the Residence at Melrose Station for my mom because the staff is both creative and dedicated. It was crucial for us that she stay mentally active and get good physical care. She settled in fast, made new friends, and loves the movies, games, and tasty meals with other residents. During the move-in, the staff quickly addressed any concerns we had. Everyone here is friendly and helpful, including the nurses, aides, dining staff, building manager, receptionists, and housekeepers. My mom also enjoys walking outside. A nice bonus is that it’s just two blocks from a charming Main Street with shops, a grocery store, a pharmacy, and a post office. Plus, there’s a commuter train station nearby, which is very convenient. In the spring, we’ll enjoy the local parks and lakes. For assisted living in the Boston area, we couldn’t find a better place.
