The Residence at Orchard Grove

"Informed choices and better communication needed in assisted living facilities."
Potential residents should ask lots of questions during the initial tour. Try out a few meals to see if you like the food. Talk to current residents to understand the community vibe. My loved one is more of a loner, so he might not fit in like most residents. We expected more help regularly. Sometimes we have to remind them about changes in cleaning or ask for extra attention when he needs it. It's not always clear if our requests are passed on to the right staff.

"Assisted Living Good for Short Stays, Not Long-Term Care"
My family member wasn't here long. It's okay for assisted living, not for long-term care or nursing homes.

"Wonderful facility for traditional and memory impaired"
My mom has been at the Residence at Orchard Grove for almost 7 months. She has memory issues and uses a wheelchair. At first, I wasn’t sure if memory care in an Assisted Living setting would be enough because she sometimes forgets she can’t walk. But after meeting with the Director of the Memory Care unit, I decided to take a leap of faith. I’ve been really happy with my decision. Before this, my mom was at a nursing home, and I saw her mental health decline. Since moving to the Residence, she’s made friends both on the traditional side and in the memory care unit. She has enough independence to feel whole again, and I’m confident she’s well-supervised. The food is great, her apartment is a good size and kept clean, and the aides are kind to her. The director of the memory care unit is professional, experienced, and very sweet. They even organize outings at least once a week, which is fantastic for my mom.

"Great Look, Poor Care at Assisted Living Facility"
I can't suggest this spot, to be honest. Pay them a surprise visit and you'll see what's actually happening. Rumor has it, they're not nice to their workers, which explains why they keep leaving. It's all a big show. The food's great and it's a pretty place but if your family really needs help and care, you won't find it here.

"Great New Community with Excellent Food"
The Residence at Orchard Grove has been doing a great job. They’re a new place, and the apartment they gave us was perfect for my loved ones. The aids have different skill levels, so there can be some inconsistency. But the staff is friendly and helpful, the place is clean, and there are lots of activities for residents. The food is one of the best things here—meals are excellent with a lot of variety. I would definitely recommend The Residence at Orchard Grove to others.
