"Overall positive experience."
We've had a great experience with Residences' memory care unit. Staff are friendly, responsive, and the food is good. Overall, a good choice.

"Pretty Assisted Living Facility Not As It Seems"
You'll be shelling out a lot of money here, so be sure you ask a ton of questions. Make sure you know exactly what amenities your loved one is getting. If anything not included in the basic package of services is needed, they'll tell you to hire a private caregiver, and that'll be pretty pricey. Pop over without warning - often times, those with memory problems are just parked in front of the TV. The staff here isn't always on top of things - usually grouped up and gabbing when they should be looking after the residents. Personal items go missing often, so keep an eye out. The place looks nice, but don't let looks fool you. They ignore promises from dietary plans to basic everyday care routines. If your family member might need professional nursing care at some point, make sure you check out the reviews of their related nursing home – they're terrible and have been for a long time. And remember, it's the same company running both places.

"Pretty Facility Lacks Consistency, Care, and Secure Belongings"
Do a thorough research first - talk to the families of current residents. Even though this place looks nice, it's essential to check the quality of care provided. They often have new employees, many of whom don't do anything until specifically told. There's no uniformity. They don't stick to care plans, even after management has been reminded again and again. Make sure you visit often to see what's really happening and insist that things are handled properly. Also, make sure to keep an eye on the belongings of your loved ones, as they tend to go missing.

"Mixed Experience at The Residences at Wingate"
There are two parts to The Residences at Wingate: the nursing home and the memory care unit. The memory care unit has been really good, but not the nursing home. (So, the scores here show the average of both, with the memory care unit having a higher score in each area.) The nursing home: My mom stayed there for three weeks, and the care was awful. They didn't give her baths or clean her. Three times we visited her, she was wrapped in a bed sheet in a wheelchair and couldn't move. Memory care unit: Really good. The staff pays a lot of attention, they're patient, loving, caring, and gentle.

"Mixed Experience: Good, Bad Food Service"
My Aunt and Uncle live there and mostly like it, but the food service is terrible. Meals take forever due to slow service. The staff isn't well-trained, and management hasn't fixed the issues. High rent for bad service. Maybe they should hire better staff.

"Good facility, convenient location."
Visited on 8/20. New facility with studio apartments available ($8300/month). Skilled nursing on-site (~$13000/month). Memory care area a good size, easy flow. Didn't chat with memory care director. Great location.

"Rooms Possibly Too Small, Otherwise Loved the Assisted Living Facility"
I really liked the place, but I think the rooms might be a bit too small.
