"Friendly Staff and Great Food at Thirwood Place"
Thirwood Place is really nice, and the staff are super friendly. The food here is way better than the last place I stayed, I’d give it a 10. It’s not exactly like home-cooked meals, but it’s still pretty good. They have some activities, but I wish there were more meet-and-greet events so I could get to know the other residents better. They do have painting and wine nights, which are fun. My two-bedroom apartment is great, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, one and a half baths, and a nice deck.

"Great care, safe facility, no memory care available."
I’m happy with Thirdwood Place. They manage her care well, including her medicine and food. She says the staff are nice and quick to respond to questions. The only drawback is that they don’t offer memory care if she needs it. She has a furnished 1-bedroom apartment that she loves, and the food is healthy and tasty with three meals a day. It’s a great place for her. They follow strict COVID protocols and have no cases. The dining room is open, but guests can’t dine yet. The facility is beautiful, safe, and well-kept. I recommend it to others.

"Assisted Living Facility: Comfortable, Friendly, and Pandemic-Adapted Environment"
It's challenging to rate during the pandemic, but everything I've seen, including the apartment, is very nice. I love the look and feel of the place. The staff, residents, and security guard are all very nice. The staff is extremely helpful, and my loved ones are well cared for. The cafeteria will open soon, activities are ramping up, and visitation will soon be allowed. Due to Covid, I've had to schedule visits in a model apartment until now. There are many comfortable common areas with couches and a fireplace where they can sit and chat with masks on. For less mobile or adventurous people, it provides social opportunities and gets them out of their apartments for a moment. Outside is a nice grassy area. It's a pet-friendly community, and one of the residents brings his dog around to visit and chat.

"Safe, Friendly, and Supportive Assisted Living Experience"
My mother spent 4 wonderful years at Thirwood Place. Yes, it seemed pricey, but it was worth it. She was safe and secure, enjoyed great meals, and made many new friends. She could run errands and visit her doctors easily. She got her hair done there, played bridge and Bingo, and went to exercise classes three times a week. Her apartment was beautiful, and the common areas were always clean, with fresh flowers and plants. The staff was always respectful, professional, and cheerful. In the last few months before she passed away, the management was incredibly helpful to our family, giving us all the care and support we needed. I really can't say enough good things about Thirwood Place. After four years, we never had a single complaint!

"Top Choice for Seniors: Thirwood Assisted Living Facility"
After researching and visiting many facilities in Mid and East Cape, we chose Thirwood for our family. It's just as good as, if not better than, the others. The staff is well-trained, super helpful, and really nice. Their meal plan is great for seniors—it's flexible and doesn't force you to pay for more meals than you need. At Thirwood, you can choose to have just one meal a day for 15 or 30 days, which is perfect for seniors with limited appetites and budgets.
