"Great staff, clean place, some services not as advertised"
The staff here is really friendly and always ready to help with any family concerns. The brochure says you get 90 minutes of assistance from the staff, but that's not always true. They do come when you call, though. They clean every week and will do laundry for a fee. The place is clean and bright. There are activities every day or each week.

"Satisfied with Mom's Assisted Living Experience"
This place is really nice. The person who runs it, [name removed], pays a lot of attention to everyone and tries to help out. They have fun things to do, too. The care is good, even though the workers are really busy. The food is just okay, not great. But overall, we're happy we chose this place for Mom's new home over a year ago. She's comfy and likes her room, and she's gotten used to how things are here. I think it's a good place for anyone who needs this kind of care.

"Poor Care and Inadequate Cleanliness at Assisted Living Facility"
The facility seems nice at first glance, with its lovely appearance, pleasant atmosphere, and a beautiful outdoor deck. The community areas are generally clean. However, the care for individual rooms and laundry could be more frequent and thorough. Our family unfortunately didn't have a positive experience. The care was appalling and we even encountered theft. Our relative went without their medication for months because the staff failed to order new prescriptions. Also, their hearing aids were stolen and eyeglasses misplaced for two months. We would not advise choosing this facility.

"Avoid Wingate's Memory Care: Quality Drastically Dropped"
My dad was living in the assisted living section of the Epoch-run building from 2013 to 2017, which was good. However, when Wingate took over in 2017, he had to shift to the memory care facility, which was not up-to-par. There were not enough employees, and the bathroom was frequently dirty. The activities were far from his room, had to be reached by a tiny elevator, and didn't interest him. Mostly, people just watched TV. I would advise against their memory care services.

"Friendly and Caring Staff at Melbourne Assisted Living"
My mom has been living at Melbourne for over 2 years. The staff are always friendly and show they care about her needs. When I have questions about her care, they answer them quickly and professionally. My mom always looks well taken care of, and they have activities that are good for people with dementia. Since my mom loves being outside, I'm happy that Melbourne has a courtyard where she can sit with other residents and staff safely. It lets her enjoy the nice weather.

"A Good Place for a Short Stay"
The room is a bit small for Dad. The staff have been great. This place does seem a little pricey for a short stay. The food is good, and they have a nice dining room. The community is clean, and I would recommend it for a short stay.

"Comfortable, Clean, and Affordable for Dad"
Dad lives here now, only a few weeks. We're comfy and happy with our pick. We visited almost every assisted living place in Western Mass. Epoch and another were our top choices. It was surprising how similar the prices were at each place. Some charged the same for what we think are not good housing situations. Epoch is clean, sunny, and friendly. Our other choice was too, but we picked Epoch because it costs a bit less and feels more relaxed, which Dad likes.

"Epoch Offers Variety of Options"
My dad lives here now, and even though it's only been a few weeks, we feel good about where he is. We're happy with our choice. We visited almost every assisted living place in Western Mass, and Epoch and another facility stood out as our favorites. The prices were surprisingly similar for each place we toured, but some charged the same amount for what we considered subpar housing. Epoch was clean, sunny, and welcoming. Our other option had these qualities too, but we ultimately picked Epoch because it was a bit cheaper and had a more relaxed atmosphere, which suits our dad.

"Friendly staff, caring facility, and great care for mom"
Everyone was friendly and answered all my questions from the first visit until the day my mom moved in. It’s a caring place. The staff know the residents’ names and treat them with respect. I feel good about my mom living there; she’s safe and well cared for.

"Stay and Thrive Here"
They have different levels of care, so residents don’t have to move to another place as they get older. They have lots of activities that help my loved one make friends. When we visited, we felt really good about the staff and the community. My loved one knew someone who stayed here before and had a good experience too. The place is very beautiful and well-kept.”
