"A Cozy Assisted Living Location"
It's a nice location and a good fit if you want a cozy family atmosphere. There are always at least 2 staff members on-site, and I saw 3 staff quarters, including the caretaker and his wife. [Name removed] has 25 years of experience and gave helpful advice. The rooms were fairly clean, and the 7 residents I saw were all gathered in the upstairs living room watching TV. There's also a basement area with 2 living quarters and a staff room. She mentioned that a doctor and nurse visit every 45 days. Overall, not a bad place though I'm not sure if it's the perfect setting for my mother. I'll keep it on my list due to its convenient location.

"Unliveable Conditions in Shared Living Facility"
This house only has room for 4 folks to live in. It was under construction, we would be expected to share a bathroom and the current folks living there looked lifeless. NO WAY.

"Steps Not Suitable for Mom’s Needs Looking for Single-Level Home"
This was my first visit to a group home. The house was nice, but I quickly saw that the steps in the layout wouldn’t be good for my mom, who has bad knees and dementia. For example, even though there was a chair lift to get partway up the stairs, residents still had to walk up the last three steps by themselves. I’ll look for homes with a single-level layout instead.
