"Great views and cleanliness, slow maintenance response"
Fantastic location - in the warmer months, it's great to sit on the porch and look at the Severn River and the Naval Academy. It's clean - there isn't a constant smell of urine or other bad smells, which is common in other places. We're still waiting for some maintenance to be done, so they could be faster in that area. We're very happy with Manresa.

"Mom’s Not a Match"
The place wasn’t as modern as we expected, so it didn’t stand out. It just didn’t suit my mom.

"Great staff and activities, older building but worth recommending"
The staff at this place really cares, even though it's an older building. They do a pretty good job overall, and the activity staff is excellent. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

"Atria Manresa: Affordable, Friendly Assisted Living by the River"
We picked Atria Manresa because it was cheaper than my mom’s old place. The grounds are beautiful, by the Sevren river. The rooms are okay, and they offer different sizes. COVID caused some problems due to staff shortages. Some staff members were great, but the night shift had issues. Overall, I’d recommend it. The community is friendly, and my mom made friends.

"Great care, activities, some turnover, beautiful community"
The care at Atria Manresa is great, despite recent staff changes. Before COVID, they offered multiple daily exercise classes and balance sessions. Residents enjoyed bingo, board games, and music, plus visits from singing groups. While the executive director we met initially was fantastic, there have been changes. Rooms are spacious, and the community is beautiful overall.

"Good deal, nice view, friendly community"
We picked this place because it's a good deal for the money. She has a nice room with a view of the 7 rivers. The food looks okay. I really like the location and it's smaller, so she knows more people and has more friends.

"Atria Manresa: Unethical Practices and Admin Nightmare"
UGH! Dealing with Atria Manresa in Annapolis has been nothing but pure frustration since my father-in-law moved in during [date removed]! At first, he required Level 1 care. However, by [date removed], they reassessed him up to a Level 5 care without even notifying me! They know I'm his Power of Attorney and I live only 15 minutes away! The weird thing is, his needs and medication didn't even change that month! The only thing that changed was our bill that increased! I have been constantly on the phone and emailing them to sort out the care levels and the billing errors, but it seems never-ending. If I knew back then what I know now, I would have definitely chosen a different place! I honestly have no idea how they are still in business. They even sneakily set up a doctor's appointment for him with their own in-house doctor and started him on new medication without even telling me! This is madness! I beg you to keep searching, don't rush like us! Originally, we hurriedly relocated him here from out of state to be closer to us. That decision, however, haunts me and has done nothing but raise my blood pressure!

"Mom is happy and engaged."
Mom is happy and settling in well at Atria Manresa. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and takes good care of my mom. They have a curfew for when residents need to return to the community, ensuring everyone is safe. Mom enjoys the meals they prepare and takes part in all the activities the staff encourages. She loves physical therapy, and all the activities keep her busy and give her plenty to talk about. I believe that as she gets more comfortable and makes friends, she will feel at home here. We chose this community for its location, and the view is beautiful. I would recommend this place to others.

"Very Nice, But Not Quite Right"
Very nice! We didn't choose this community because they only had a spot on the Alzheimer's unit, not the memory unit. They said they'd move her to the memory group during the day, but we thought it would be difficult for her to switch between groups and that it was too large. But overall, we were very impressed.

"Great view and location"
The view and location caught my eye. Studio apartments are small, but the common areas are nice. Van transportation will be important for my mom.

"Not Ideal for Those Needing Extra Care"
The staff couldn't help my husband with his care needs. They got upset about spending extra time with him and then started being mean to me. The food was good, and they tried to get him to join activities. They keep the place clean. I would recommend this community for people who are more independent.

"Excellent Facility and Great Value"
Atria is in a beautiful spot overlooking the Severn River. On the first day, there was a water problem with my mom's room. Atria management saw the issue couldn't be fixed quickly and moved her to a bigger, better room at no extra cost. The facility has lots of activities for active seniors, and my mom loves the meals. Overall, it's an excellent value and much better than its competitors.

"Missing Communication in Assisted Living Care"
Since September, my grandma has been living at Atria Manresa. The place is really nice, but the care staff doesn't seem to work together very well. I keep telling them what my grandma needs but they don't always pass it on to the next person. My grandma was sick for a week with a bad cold, which is scary because she's 90. I didn't even know she was sick until I chatted with a really caring worker who was worried because my grandma wasn't getting better. She hinted that the other staff weren't taking her worries seriously. We had issues getting a doctor to check on my grandma when she moved in. In the end, Atria Manresa sent my grandma to the hospital and she was really sick with pneumonia and really low oxygen levels. She then had to stay in rehab for a month but the care was great there. Before the hospital, I noticed my grandma was more confused and asked for her to get checked. However, they said she was fine. When I asked how they knew, they said they hadn't had to help her that month so they concluded she was okay which doesn't make sense.

"My father has been a resident at Manresa..."
My father has been living at Manresa for about three months. He and I love the scenery and the friendly caregivers. I recently met the nursing director, Gwynn, who has been a lifesaver! I had some minor concerns that the Director dismissed, but the Nursing Director resolved them in minutes. The Director should learn humanitarian skills from the Nursing Director. Kudos to all the other compassionate staff who love their jobs!

"Million Dollar Waterfront View"
Atria is an older building, but it's really well-kept. It used to be a Catholic retreat. We liked it because it has an amazing view of the river. It's actually right on the waterfront. On the 4th of July, we had a BBQ with our mom there, about 50 yards from the water, with a great view of the fireworks. They say some views are worth a million dollars, and the view from this community is definitely one of them. They have lots of activities for residents, like grocery shopping, dinner outings, movies, theatre, and church trips. The best part is, all these activities are included in the price—no extra fee. They even take residents to their doctor appointments in town if needed. Josh and the staff are great—friendly and really helpful. They offer different levels of care too. We really like Atria and would recommend it to anyone.

"Beautiful and Clean Facility, Bewildered Residents Roaming Around"
The place is lovely. It's tidy, but some of the elderly people seemed disoriented and aimlessly roving.

"Beautiful setting, friendly people; mom is unsure about visiting"
The place is beautiful, and the people are really nice. We haven't taken my mom to visit yet. She seems not too interested because of how she felt after visiting a friend a few years ago. She thinks the rooms are too small.
