"Pleasant staff, unpleasant smell during tour."
Our family visited the facility in person. The staff was super nice and really great to talk to, but honestly, it smelled really bad inside. We thought maybe there's a broken toilet or pipe causing it.

"Disappointing Care at Seaton Assisted Living"
I wouldn't suggest Seaton. Too many meds, smelly room, unclean. Poor health and personality, overall care issues.

"Comfortable and Secure; Seaton Hagerstown is the best choice."
I’ve visited Seaton Hagerstown a few times, and my brother likes it there. Everyone, including the residents, seems friendly. My brother is very outgoing and talks to almost everyone. He says some people respond, while others don’t, but he has made friends and has dinner with them. When I first visited, he said, 'I really like it here, I don’t want to leave.' He feels more comfortable here compared to his old place. I appreciate that they lock the doors and require a passcode for added security. He enjoys his window view of the cats outside. I’m happy with Seaton; it seems to be the best fit for him, especially with his memory issues.

"Underwhelming Atmosphere, Great Staff"
When we got there, we felt like it might not suit my family member. We really liked the director, but the vibe wasn't what we wanted.

"Seaton Hagerstown provides great care for my husband with dementia."
I want to thank Seaton Hagerstown for taking care of my husband. He has dementia and lives in the memory care unit. He's been there for 4 months and seems to enjoy it. The staff is terrific, and they make you feel welcome. You can ask them questions anytime.

"Dark and Dusty Assisted Living"
When we walked in, it seemed dusty, like they hadn't cleaned it. The place felt dark, so we crossed it off our list right away.

"Friendly staff and quick responses despite initial hiccups"
My loved one had a medical emergency and had to leave soon after moving in, but everyone was really nice. All the workers seem friendly and helpful. It seems like a nice place to be. When we moved in, his bathroom wasn't clean or stocked with towels and things, but they fixed any issues right away. I never felt ignored, and they took care of everything we needed.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Be careful with medications and this community. They didn’t give my loved one the right meds, and some were left over. Follow instructions closely. My loved one overate, and they didn’t restrict him as advised. He watched TV all day, which he wasn’t supposed to. I raised concerns, but no one responded. Staff were great initially, but everything changed later.

"Happy Home for Loved Ones"
We've been pretty happy with Elmcroft of Hagerstown. My family member's health got better since moving here. They've got lots of fun stuff like charades, bingo, parties, and special themes every month. They even have a newsletter for everyone. Plus, they take pictures of residents joining in and share them with family.

"Helpful staff, okay food, keeps residents active, some nurse issues"
The people here have been very helpful. We've had no problems getting their help with family issues. The food is okay, but not as good as home cooking. It's not the best, but it's not bad either. Mostly, we would recommend this place. They try to keep residents active with different activities. The staff is very helpful. Our loved one has had some issues with a few nurses, but we understand they work long, hard hours. The head nurse is also very cooperative.

"Broadmore Assisted Living: Very Nice Tour Experience"
I went to Broadmore on June 27, 2018. The General Manager showed us around and chatted with us for about an hour. He was really thorough. The rooms were a good size, and everything looked neat and tidy. It's tough to rate it fully until you actually have a family member living there, but based on what we saw, it was very nice.

"Avoid: Medication Mix-Ups and More Problems Here"
This place has been probed by the state for mistakenly administering incorrect medications and such. There's a whole heap of issues here. It's not a recommended place. We're rushing to move our family member out immediately.

"Caution: Inadequate Staff and Poor Care at This Facility"
This place is alarmingly short-staffed. My dad's heater and air conditioner have been broken for months, even though I've repeatedly brought up the issue. One staff member even admitted that they've got five new units sitting in storage, yet they've refused to replace my dad's broken one. It's also worrying that they keep messing up his medication. They called me to refill his prescriptions 6 weeks early and they couldn't even explain why the meds were almost gone. The thought of moving him elsewhere has crossed my mind, but the $1500.00 non-refundable fee they charged upon moving in is a setback. In short, I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST CHOOSING THIS FACILITY!

"Excellent Assisted Living: Warm Staff, Good Value, Watch Fees"
This place is really great! The rooms are nice, and they serve good food three times a day in a nice dining room. The nurses are really good too. The people who work here are nice and friendly, and everyone who lives here gets taken care of well. It's a good deal for the money. Just keep an eye on the evaluations and how much they charge after your family member moves in. They have a point system for every request you make, and that can make the fees go up.
