"Brookdale Provides Caring, Communicative, and Active Environment for Mom"
We moved our Mom from a place in NC back to her hometown of Hagerstown. We were really disappointed with the care she got in NC, so we were worried about starting over. After checking out 6 places in Hagerstown, we chose Brookdale. Mom has been in the memory care facility at Brookdale for a year now, and we've been really impressed with how well they talk to us, how caring they are, and all the activities they do with the residents.

"Valuables Disappeared From Loved One's Room After Death"
My dad was staying at Brookdale Hagerstown when he sadly passed away. I suggest to anyone with a relative in their last days at this place to remove any valuable items from their room. When my father died on a Monday, we came back the next day to collect his belongings and found that the three most precious things were not there. They told us they conducted an "investigation", but we were never updated and didn't get any of the items back.

"Caring and Responsive Assisted Living Center"
Mom likes it here, which matters most. Staff helps her well. Sometimes they don't tell me everything, but they fix issues fast when I tell them.

"Caring Staff and Good Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
The workers are really nice, and the helpers are amazing. They try hard to keep the same folks together in my mom's group. They're excellent at keeping me informed about requests and medical stuff. The only problem is I feel like I need to tidy up the room when I visit. But overall, the place is really good so far.

""Bad Care, Bad Staffing, and No Activities or Medicine Left""
This place really lets down the memory care patients. They didn't even have enough staff working on Christmas eve. They don't know how to care for people with Alzheimer's and don't help them stay active like they said they would. My family member has some usual troubles because of his condition, but they couldn't deal with it. They also used up all his medicines when we left, even though there should've been some left.

"Small Kitchen Space at Brookdale Hagerstown"
Brookdale Hagerstown is a really nice place, but the kitchen is too small with not much counter space.
