"Unfulfilling Care and Minimal Services at Expensive Assisted Living Facility"
The meals here are minuscule. The care is decent, but the majority of the staff don't speak English, making it difficult for them to communicate with the patients. The doors to the facility are always closed and there isn't much activity going on. They offer no transportation to appointments, and communication can be unclear when giving suggestions or instructions. The staff members are friendly, but perhaps they should consider a different profession. It's expensive, costing between $2,000-$2,600 per month for a mere bed and three small meals. No outings are arranged for the patients. It could be tolerable if the resident just wants to sleep, wake up, shower, have some cereal, a light lunch, and dinner, and watch some TV. But their in-house doctor is terrible! Additionally, if the resident can feed themselves, walk, talk, and so forth, they would be utterly bored just sitting around waiting for family to entertain them. Unfortunately, there was recently an incident involving bed bugs in one of the rooms. The resident in question was swiftly removed by her family. Look, the people here are kind but for the amount of money they're taking in per month—over $10,000—they should offer more varied food options, better care, and more consistent staffing. No staff member ever accompanies any resident anywhere! I know people want to send their family members to a private facility, but this one seems to prioritize appearance over actual care. I could continue, but I'll stop here for the sake of the families.
