"Top Assisted Living Facility with Friendly Staff and Varied Activities"
This facility is the best within 100 miles. The staff is friendly and helpful. Sometimes she likes the food, other times not so much, but they just got a new chef, so it might improve. It's a locked memory unit with activities like exercise, sing-alongs, puzzles, and field trips. They use Facebook and text messages to keep families updated.

"Poor care and food quality, nice rooms"
Our family member didn't receive the support she needed. She'd request assistance, but no one would show up for hours. She mentioned that the food was awful and of low quality. On the bright side, she did compliment the rooms for being quite pleasant.

"Facility's Negligence Leads to Tragic Death"
If you care about your relatives, don't send them here! Though it may look pleasant due to its age of just over 4 years, the quality of care is seriously lacking. My mom was there for 3 years, in which time she suffered 2 instances of femur fractures and countless bouts of pneumonia! They barely met basic care needs - from cleaning her false teeth to checking in on her every hour, as outlined in our agreement. The head of the facility told false stories about various incidents, like a malfunctioning camera and not informing families that for more than 18 months, the facility's primary doctor hadn't been fulfilling his role as per the resident contracts. I even had the facility inspected by state authorities and they found quite a few infractions that I'm still awaiting the official report on before I take legal steps. My mom fell one last time on July 23rd and instead of helping, they just covered it up and as a result of their lack of proper care, she has since passed away.

"High Staff Turnover Affects Quality of Care"
The location in California, Maryland is new and nice. However, the turnover of staff is ridiculously crazy. My family member has been there for a year and a half, and none of the staff have been there longer than she has. Staff members leave because they are overworked and underpaid. I think they hire young people and train them on the job, so they don't know what they are getting into. Once they realize how hard the care work is, they leave for better-paying jobs. The place is understaffed and the staff are not very skilled. There are no licensed nurses at the moment. I'm praying it gets better before something bad happens.

"Headline"
The activities could be better. They didn't engage my mom during her stay.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
The place looks really nice—it’s a new building, and I like how my dad’s room is private. But they’ve had a lot of staff changes in the last two months. The workers aren’t happy because they’re paid very little and have weird hours without benefits. It could be a five-star place, but they need to fix their staffing issues. Honestly, I’m thinking of moving my dad out because he’s not happy there.

"New Assisted Living Facility Shows Promise Despite Initial Limitations"
This facility just opened recently. My loved one has only been here a short time, but I'm very impressed with what they offer! The building looks nice and is always clean. It feels open and airy, more like a resort than a care place. The staff are friendly and great with my loved one. She's quiet and shy, but they're good at getting her out to meals and activities. Since they're new, they're still working out a few things, so activities and services are somewhat limited. Once they're fully up and running, this place will be hard to beat!
