"Old Appearance, Lack of Communication: Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
This place is owned by the same people who own another place my family member stayed at, and we didn't like it here. The building looks really old. The manager was friendly, but overall, the place just seems really old. We had to leave and come back because they didn't communicate well about the tour.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Facility, But No Current Availability"
The place was nice and tidy, and the people who worked there were super nice. But, sadly, they didn't have any spots open when I checked. I'll have to keep searching.

"Facility Neglects Residents, Overcharges, and Limits Liberty"
My mom was diagnosed with delirium. They made her pay a hefty entrance fee and then added the first month's rent on top. I live far away and was told this was the only place she could afford before she was moved there. When I finally arrived to Baltimore to visit, I felt shocked stepping into that group home. The name 'assisted living' just didn't seem to suit it. A good portion of the folks living there either had serious mental issues or hardly spoke at all. My mom said most of her meals were just egg salad sandwiches and water. Whenever I'd come in, I'd find them all just sitting in the living room watching reruns of Bonanza. Always. They didn't seem to think keeping mom's hair clean was a big deal. The day I removed her wig, I discovered a multitude of bacterial infections on her scalp. When I tried brushing her hair, clumps of it just fell out. After only a month there, mom told me how the nurses would often shout and get angry with everyone. She said the best days were when visitors came because then everyone behaved. After finding a better place in Texas, I moved my mom out. But they tried to make me pay a big fee just for her to leave. Despite their advertised "day trips", mom said she never once left the house. Please, don't leave your family here. I felt horrible thinking she had been there even for a month. When I tried to talk to the owner about these issues, they just hung up on me.

"Horrifying Living Conditions in Supposed Assisted Living Home"
My mom was diagnosed with delirium. They slapped her with a "admission" fee, plus another for the first month's rent. I reside out of state and they said this essential living place was the perfect fit for her financial situation, so my mother was moved there. When I finally got to Baltimore and stepped into this so-called group home, I was horrified. It was clear to see that most residents were mentally challenged or completely non-verbal. The "nutritious" meals were nothing more than egg salad sandwiches and water, as per my mom's account. Each time I visited, the residents were glued to the TV, watching reruns of Bonanza. Time and time again. They didn't even consider my mom's basic hygiene important....when I removed her wig, I discovered bacterial infections all over her scalp. When I attempted to brush...large clumps of her hair fell out...She had only been there for a month...my poor mom told me that the staff would often shout and grow irate towards the residents unless there were visitors, then suddenly, they'd become well-mannered. The moment I found an alternate place in TX, I took my mother out of there. As they were preparing for her discharge, they tried to slap me with an extra fee just for the freedom to exit. My mom told me she was never permitted to leave the house despite the advertised "day outings"....DO NOT let your loved one wither away in this place. I was utterly distressed that she'd spent even a month there. I made attempts to express my concerns to the owner of the facility, only to be rudely dismissed with a hang-up.

"Caring Staff, Clean Environment, But Limited Staffing"
Positives: 15 residents, both men & women Place is clean and equipped with helpful tools like bed rails, ramps, etc. Staff are caring and skilled, can guide residents well. Diets seem to be followed, and help is given to those who need it. Activities for both younger and older residents. Concerns: Worried if my parent had to stay upstairs. Ratio of staff to residents seems a bit low.
