HeartFields Assisted Living at Bowie

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility Services"
The move-in process wasn't great. It took them forever to fix the broken drawer and the toilet paper holder in my mom's room. The cable still doesn't work after almost two months. I don't like the doctor or nurse practitioner much. I asked for a letter for Social Security a month ago and I'm still waiting, so I had to cancel my appointment. I had a care meeting scheduled three days ago and haven't heard back yet. The meals are great and my mom seems to like everything. The assisted living side is beautiful, but the memory care side is plain and cold. The staff does what I ask, but it's hard to understand them because of their strong accents. They don't communicate with the family as much as I'd like.

"Mixed Feelings about Charter Senior Living of Bowie"
Charter Senior Living of Bowie was just alright. The rooms were tiny, but the staff was super friendly. When we had to pick, they were in a close tie with another place for our second or third choice.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
They don't explain their different care levels clearly. Instead, they have various levels of care, but there's no written information about what each level means. When I asked, they said it's based on a formula and individual evaluations. On the bright side, the staff is wonderful, and my mom adores the caring and sweet people who look after her.

"Wonderful Staff but Unclear Care Levels"
This place is nice, but they don't make it clear what kind of care they offer. They have different levels of care, but there's no documentation explaining them. When I asked, they said it's based on a formula and each person gets evaluated individually. I didn't like that. However, the staff are amazing. My mom loves them they're really kind and sweet to her.

"Beautiful place but too pricey; no staff or resident interaction"
The place was really nice and super pretty, but it cost too much. We had a private chat in an office, and we did a walk-through, but we didn’t get to see the staff or the people living there.

"Beautiful place but a bit pricey, didn't see staff"
It was a really nice place and very pretty, but too expensive. We only talked to them in a private office and did a walk-through, but we didn’t see the staff or residents.

"Heartfields Boosts Mom's Health and Happiness"
The Heartfields staff were super helpful when we moved my mom in. After a week, we had an issue with missing undergarments, but the management team fixed it. The best part? Mom's health has improved since joining the community. Her memory and alertness are better, and she's adapting well.

"Mom's Memory Improves in Heartfields After Two Weeks"
The workers at Heartfields were super helpful when we brought my mom there. But then, like a week later, we found out most of her undies were gone! We told the Heartfields bosses, and they fixed it. The cool thing is, since my mom joined Heartfields, she's been doing a lot better. She has dementia and had some really bad Alzheimer's stuff going on, which is why we moved her there. But in the past couple of weeks, her memory and how awake she is have gotten loads better. She's getting used to being at Heartfields.

"Lovely setting with feminine decor; lacks male residents."
This place is like a pretty house with lots of nice decorations. It feels very girly, but there aren't many guys here.

"Spacious Alzheimer's unit; room size a bit small but liked."
The Alzheimer's unit was really big, which I liked a lot. I'm trying to remember how big the rooms were. I think they were kind of small.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
She really liked how the place looked and thought the Alzheimer's unit was great. We also thought the manager was nice. Plus, she enjoyed the food here, which was a first. However, it wasn't as big as she would have liked (not enough people), and it was farther away from me than she wanted to be.
