"Great space and activities for families at Lakeside Assisted Living"
Lakeside Assisted Living has plenty of space inside, with areas for crafts and family visits. We recommend it to other families.

We had a nice tour at Lakeside. Staff and facility great, location unsuitable.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
We liked the location because it was close to us. The community looked nice and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious, with a good bathroom. It suited our loved one, who was on the dementia side. However, the food could be mushy and unappealing at times.

"Steer Clear of Mallard Landing, They Overcharge and Ignore Calls"
I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a home at Mallard Landing. The people there just don't seem to know what they're doing. They charged my mom too much money for her fees, and to this day, they still owe us $1600. For months now, I've tried to get that money back. Every time I call the office, no one answers the phone. They're always in a meeting and never call me back. The way they treat their residents is pretty upsetting. I've met several people they're also in debt to and still haven't paid back. This is your caution.

"Neglected Relative's Decline Shocks Trusting Long-Distance Family"
My relative was at this memory care unit. We live far away and couldn't visit regularly but we trusted this facility to ensure proper care was given and that was a huge error. This place behaved really unprofessionally. They failed to keep the family updated when my relative's health condition changed. The only time we received a call from them was when payment for a certain month was overdue, which was their fault because a staff change prevented us from getting our usual monthly invoices. It seems like collecting money is all they care about. They waited a long time before letting us know my relative had lost over 30 pounds and wasn't eating. The immediate news they gave us was 'we're involving hospice care' which is for end-of-life care. Not updating us prior to that left us totally shocked. We should have been alerted right away when weight loss occurred not just when things got real bad. It's clear they barely cared for our relative. I've never seen such misconduct before.

"Awful Facility Prioritize Profit Over Loved Ones' Wellbeing"
Our family trusted this assisted living facility -- what a mistake. Our relative was on the memory care side of the facility, and because we live far away, we couldn't be there all the time. We count on them to give the care necessary, but boy were we wrong. This place showed zero professionalism. Communication with us, the family, only happened when they didn't get their payment; which was their fault since they had a switch in staff and we weren't getting our monthly statements. Seems like all they cared about was getting their money. Despite the fact that our loved one lost over 30 pounds and wasn't eating, they waited weeks to tell us. When they finally decided to talk to us, they call saying "we're starting hospice treatment". Hospice, as you might know, is end-of-life care to ensure someone passes softly. We got no other updates before this, so we were completely shocked. They should have told us as soon as our family member's health was slipping, not when things got serious from their side. Clearly, the wellbeing of our relative was their last concern. I've never been through something like this.

"Avoid This Facility - Shocking Communication and Professionalism!"
Very Poor Communication and Responsibility at This Assisted Living Facility!' I've got a relative living here and I'm just appalled at this facility. Their communication is just downright horrible. They failed to send us the monthly bill so we could pay them, and then they turn around and blame us, even tacking on late charges! It's outrageous how they refuse to take ownership of their own mistakes. What's worse is they couldn't even alert us when our family member started having issues with swallowing. We were left in the dark until they decided to ring us to say she was losing a drastic amount of weight and that they were initiating hospice care. Why wasn't anything done sooner? I would seriously advise you, don't ever bring your loved ones here.

This place was pretty cool. The people giving us the tour were friendly and smart. It's a big place and seemed a bit too busy for what we wanted.

"Mom is happy and feels at home here!"
Finding the right place for your parents can be tough, but Lakeside’s staff is truly amazing! Helene is absolutely incredible—a real gift to the residents. Everyone, from Dawn to Cheryl, is so kind, friendly, and super supportive. My mom just moved in and already feels like family. She’s getting plenty of rest, eating well, and calls to tell me how great the food is. She’s happy and making friends. The staff, especially Helene, made the transition so smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Big thanks to everyone at Lakeside!

"Great Activities and Friendly Staff, but Pricey"
So far, Lakeside Assisted Living is doing pretty good! I like how they think creatively about activities and make sure they're fun for the folks living here. Everybody, from the boss to the helpers, is super nice. Plus, the food is really good! The only not-so-great thing is that it costs a lot.

"Great Retirement Atmosphere with Fun Features!"
This place is really nice. It costs a bit more and feels more like a retirement spot than a health-focused one. Everyone there is pretty active. They even have a nightclub, making it feel like you're on a cruise!

"Nice place with good options, but not right for us"
Nice place with nice dining areas. The rooms are nicely furnished and there are plenty of activities. It probably won't work for us right now because my mom has trouble moving around. The staff member we talked to was really good and knew a lot. He gave us good advice and referrals.
