"Social Worker Lacks Compassion and Understanding"

The social worker lacks empathy and understanding about the residents.

"Great place with friendly staff and good activities for mom"

My mom is doing better at Landow and Ring House than we thought she would. The place is really nice, though it's a bit older. They’re talking about updating it soon. The staff is super friendly and easy to talk to. The front desk people are really nice when we visit. The food is okay; my mom is a bit picky, and they could use more variety. But it’s tough to make everyone happy with just one menu. They have lots of activities, and my mom is making friends. There are nice outdoor sitting areas and a comfy sunroom. It's in a good spot, so we can take her to nearby restaurants. We definitely recommend Landow and Ring House—I’ve already told others about it.

"Great Activities and Clean Rooms"

My loved one is very happy with the activities here. They keep him busy all week, and he gets to interact a lot with other residents. Housekeeping does a great job keeping his room clean and making sure he's comfortable in his new home.

"Disappointing Service and Cold Atmosphere at Assisted Living Facility"

The place seems okay, but many folks agree, it's not a warm or nice place to be. People working there aren't good at doing what they've been asked. They hardly ever check back in on a problem or get back on a phone call. In over a year, for instance, they completely ignored our multiple requests for a spare mailbox key. Also, while my dad was in the middle of moving out — with many of his things still in his apartment (and he was still paying the rent) — someone went into his place. His stuff was messed with, the window was left open, and the door was left unlocked. Some stuff was gone, and other things were broken. I let the bosses know about it, and they told me they'd look into it — but they never did. There wasn't any answer or any 'I'm sorry.' And when he left, no one even said, 'Nice to have known you', or 'Sad to see you leave.' They say it's because it's supposed to be 'independent living, not assisted living', but that doesn't make their bad attitude okay. One thing that wasn't their fault was that the other folks living there weren't very friendly. But now Dad's at a place called Landow, which is assisted living. Besides the extra help that you pay for, Landow's a way nicer place to be. Every single person we've met there so far is way nicer, pays more attention, and behaves more professionally.

"Activities Shine, Costs and Space Fall Short"

I wasn’t too happy with the price, the small closets, and the services. My mom can’t get lower prices for some time, and her savings would run out quicker. I did enjoy the variety of activities they offer. It’s almost like being on a vacation cruise. I guess it could work well for others, but it’s not right for my mom.

"Mixed Experience at Riing House"

Riing House is clean, but the residents aren’t very friendly. The social workers didn’t follow through, even in the first two weeks. Many residents have aides. The apartments and meals are excellent. However, my mother’s apartment hasn’t been cleaned every other week as promised. I’m unsure if my mom will stay or if we’ll switch places.

"Mixed experience: cleanliness, discomfort, bland food, delayed security."

I haven't seen others. Clean, uncomfortable lobby, bland food, delayed security.
